An unforgettable Loire Valley wine experience
Our guide Myriam was absolutely wonderful — knowledgeable, passionate, and a joy to spend an afternoon with. She walked us through the vines explaining the how and why behind every decision made in the vineyard, then took us through the harvest and fermentation areas before leading us into a stunning cellar partially excavated by her own father-in-law. Her explanation of how sparkling and still wines are made, stored, and bottled was fascinating from start to finish.
The tasting was the highlight — a spectacular range of expressions of the Chenin Blanc grape paired with excellent food. What made it truly special was Myriam’s personal touch — she even arranged gluten-free food for one of our guests, which meant the world to us. That kind of care and attention is rare. If you’re visiting the Loire Valley and have any interest in wine, this tour is not to be missed.

Fascinating French Chateaux in context of History, Art and Politics
This is a full day seeing Chenonceau and Chambord chateaux, with just under 2 hours in Amboise where you can visit the chateau there, have lunch and/or shop. Our guide Geraldine gave us excellent tours in the two chateaux, leveraging her history degree and interest in the renaissance period, along with being an insider, having grown up in one of the chateau towns. Although it would seem like 9 hours is a lot of time, the day flew by leaving us wanting more! We learned a lot about the progression of royals in France, and important historical moments in which the chateaux played parts. This tour helped us place the chateaux in the context of history, art and politics.

Educational and fun!
Our tasting host was truly wonderful! The cave(s) are amazing. Walking through the passages and looking at the stored wines was impressive. The scent identification stations were very informative. The wines we tasted were identified (by our host) largely by sight and smell, just amazing… from the Loire region, of course! After the tasting, a walk through the village is a must!

Great tour!
Our guide Dorian was FANTASTIC!! He was so knowledgeable, personable, patient, understanding and funny. The castles and lunch were great. The flow from site to site was well timed with just the right amount of guide narration and personal time. Highly recommend this tour (and hopefully you get Dorian as your guide),

Fun in Loire Valley.
It was a lovely day. Our guide Chloe was very informative and friendly and had a wonderful disposition. We especially enjoyed the gardens at Villandry. The setting of Chateau D'Azay-Le-Roseau was also fantastic. The 2 small wineries we visited were very interesting and the wines we tried were very good. Their stories of how they came to be were especially entertaining. The caves used by each winery as part of their production and storage facilities are well worth a visit.

Beautiful experience and...
Beautiful experience and lovely countryside which was easily traveled with our tour guide. Chloe was the best. She was extremely knowledgeable regarding history, the specific sites, and also anecdotes to liven up her talk. Chloe's pacing of the tour was excellent and her ability to navigate throughout the sites clearly showed her ability to lead a successful tour. Thank you Chloe!

Chinon Must Do!!!
Wow - you have to do this during your visit to Chinon!! 13 generations of family wine making. The history and tour was amazing. Then, Sebastian shared five beautiful wines with us. We were blown away by the variety of flavors - all from a single grape, Cabernet Franc. This was followed by a candle lit lunch with so much food and wine. We had the best time!! Thank you for an amazing afternoon!

A lovely afternoon learning about wines of the Loire Valley.
Laurent was a fantastic guide, sharing his deep knowledge of the wines of the region. We visited a vineyard and learned about appellations and the specific terroir, picking and pruning methods of the plot. The first winery we visited was a small local winemaking family with a lovely range of wines. In contrast, our second tasting was at a cooperative where we tasted 5 different wines. Laurent was very generous in sharing information and special thanks for the delicious cheeses and saucisson he selected to accompany our tastings.

Knowledgeable and fun
Though there were many positive things I could say about this tour, the knowledge of our guide was the standout! No question stumped her and we had delicious pairings of cheese and charcuterie for each of the wines we tried. The vineyard was fascinating with our tasting taking place in the limestone caves. Going to the cooperative and learning about this way of producing, storing, etc was very interesting and a good wrap up for the day. I suggest you dress in layers to be comfortable and make sure you have sensible shoes.
This is a can’t-miss experience and next time I will be booking a full-day!

Fabulous French chateaux with Ingrid
We had the most wonderful fun filled day with Ingrid and a fabulous family from the US who were also on our trip. Our first stop off was Chenonceau, which was just magnificent. Ingrid brought to life the history of the chateau and the men and women who fought and lusted over it. We got a huge dose of French history and some fascinating stories from Ingrid throughout the tour. The next stop was the winery and the caves for a wine tasting experience, enhanced by Francesco’s expertise, which was followed by a lovely lunch with our new friends. After lunch we headed to the next chateau, Chambord, which was even larger than the first. Again, Ingrid brought the history to life with her fabulous commentary, and fun facts. We finally refined to Amboise, with lots of restaurant recommendations, and the all important directions to the laundromat! Thanks Ingrid, you’re a lifesaver. Wish we had more tours with Ingrid but we will be off to Paris soon for other adventures. We had such a great time we are also hoping to stay in touch with our fellow tourers from the US😜
