Make exploring beyond Lecce city limits easy—and discover many of Puglia's top towns and attractions in just one day—on this small-group tour of the Salento region. Visit Galatina, known for its churches and frescoes; coastal Otranto, which boasts ancient heritage; Santa Maria di Leuca, with cliffs overlooking the Adriatic Sea; and Gallipoli, whose Old Town is located on a coastal island.

Journeying through Capo di Leuca by bicycle allows travelers to go where buses and cars can’t. With this tour, cruise through the charming villages of the region along bike paths and “secondary” streets. Discover hidden gems like the medieval hamlet of Giuliano and the Sanctuary of Leuca Piccola in Barbarano. It’s an easy, roughly 9.3-mile (15 kilometers) bike ride suitable for all fitness levels.

Cover more sights in less time during this scenic, off-the-beaten-track bike tour, with stops at prehistoric ruins, a Byzantine crypt, and the turquoise bay of Porto Badisco, with options to swim or rent a canoe. Enjoy fresh, regional delicacies with a traditional local lunch spread, cooked in a stone oven. You’ll also be treated to a tasty iced coffee as you cruise the magnificent coast.

Independent travelers will enjoy this small-group, 3-stop tour in Puglia, which provides transportation from Lecce but allows you to explore on your own. There's no need to rent a car; just sit back and enjoy the scenery on the way to Ostuni, Alberobello, and Polignano a Mare. Explore each town on your own, with some tips from your guide if you wish.
