We dive into Arctic forest and ski through some beautiful locations to experience and photograph the Northern Lights and surrounding nature in night time. The forest presents a whole different side of natural beauty in the dark of the night. We use specialist skis that can take us through the deep snow and untouched terrain of Lapland. Using only headlamps, we get enough light to ski through the forest and to reach the spots in the middle of the nocturnal nature. The adventure starts from our office where we equip the team with proper gear and clothing. Then we will drive to our location in the forest and get ready to enter the woods. Once we leave the minivan, we make an equipment check and set all the cameras to be ready for night photography. Northern Lights are always unpredictable and there is no guarantee that they will appear during the tour. Our main focus during the night is in exploring and experiencing nature locations which are reachable only with backcountry skis.

This tour will offer a memorable night adventure on skis! Your guide will take you in small groups away from Rovaniemi to some elusive wild areas with no light pollution. During the excursion, you will explore Lapland wilderness by night, gliding on deep snow to reach some beautiful nature area. If the conditions allow so, Northern lights might come and dance in the sky. But in all cases, even if you are unlucky, you will enjoy a great night adventure in beautiful snowy landscapes. Plus, the use of climbing gear is included so you don’t have to buy it for them for their first try. After their time on the ice, a cute diploma is given to them.
