Guided by a tasting of four signature wines, you will uncover, in every note and nuance, the history, dedication, and volcanic character of the land and the people who cultivate it. The wine tasting is accompanied by a light snack pairing served with each wine. “Beyond the Ashes” is a tribute to our roots and a nod to the iconic 1999 “Cenizas de Timanfaya” wine, which marked a milestone in the Canary Islands—just as the volcanic ashes that shaped the soils continue to define the character of our wines today.

Discover the richness and diversity of Canary Islands wines during an exclusive comparative tasting set in one of Lanzarote’s most iconic cultural landmarks: the Monumento al Campesino, designed by the famous artist César Manrique. This tasting experience celebrates the excellence of Canarian winemaking, bringing together a selection of four outstanding wines from the Canary Islands that represent the unique volcanic terroir and diverse grape varieties of the archipelago. Guided by an expert sommelier, you will taste and compare carefully selected labels while learning about the stories behind the wineries, their winemakers, and the distinctive landscapes where these wines are born. Perfect for wine lovers and curious travelers, this experience offers a sensory journey through aromas, flavors, and traditions that define the identity of Canarian wines.

Meet your guide at the cruise terminal. Head straight to Timanfaya National Park, the iconic volcanic park with spectacular volcanic landscapes. Explore the unique Martian-like scenery of the park and also experience the Geothermal demonstration where a ranger will show how heat from the volcano can be used to ignite brushwood and boil water. After Timanfaya, head towards the Costa de Lava. You will stop at viewpoints and capture stunning photos of the coastline’s stark beauty. Next, head to the coastal village of El Golfo, a beautiful spot known for its green lagoon, Charco de los Clicos. Drive towards the Salinas de Janubio, a traditional salt production site and take in the panoramic views of the salt flats against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean. Continue to Bodega La Geria, known for its unique method of growing vines in volcanic soil. Learn about Lanzarote's wine-making techniques, followed by a tasting of local wines (optional).
