The Best Tour out of Ketchikan!!!

I’ve been on many excursions and tours and this one is at the top of the list. You can tell Captain Dave, Bid D, David and the rest of the team really love what they do. They dropped different kinds of crab pots and traps to demonstrate how fishing is done. We saw countless Eagles and other beautiful creatures that all make Alaska what it is. I’d definitely book a tour on the “miracle boat”. You will have to book to find out how it got this nick name.

Great Ketchikan Tour and Nice Driver

We arrived in Ketchikan and did not make it to our meeting location on time. Our driver Christopher picked us up where the shuttle left us. We really appreciated that so we would not miss our tour. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and really knows a lot about the area. He took us around town and tried for us to see bears, but they were hiding. I would highly recommend this tour when you are visiting Ketchikan to get the most of your time there.

A Great Drive Around Ketchikan!

This tour was a wonderful cruise around town in a very comfortable tour bus, equipped with phone chargers, small snacks, and a very knowledgeable owner/operator. Kaitlyn's love of Ketchikan was obvious - from the exacting way she located wildlife for our viewing pleasure to the way she talked about residents and life about the town. Kaitlyn's goofy energy in combination to her life-long experience in Ketchikan leaves you feeling good after a tour with a REAL native. This is a very relaxing tour (light walking at just a few stops, with only one very minor climb)! We didn't get to see starfish but we saw many bald eagles, harbor seals, beautiful birds, and a mama bear with her two cubs. We also got a beautiful picture at a local waterfall. You never know what you're going to get when you book online... But I really felt this trip was worth every penny, PLUS a tip! ;) (P.S. If you're cruising and booking this as part of your time in port, DON'T WORRY - she WILL have you back on time!)

Awesome experience and funny guide for our family

Our guide, Daniel, was awesome. We went late in the season on an October cruise and even though the animal activity was less, he made our experience engaging and exciting. We went to the beach and he showed all sorts of amazing sea life to our kids in the tide pools. He took us to the salmon ladder and hidden waterfalls and we tried several times to see bears but they just weren’t there and that’s okay. He was a great guide, funny, and we learned all about life in Alaska. Strongly recommend!

5+ Star Tour!

This tour was a highlight of our trip! The day of the tour, there was heavy rain and high winds in Ketchikan, but our guide, Jodan told us that while we would get wet, we would experience none of the annoying effects of rain driven by high winds – the reainforest absorbs all of that. He was right, and we were glad that we braved the elements. Jordan brought the rainforest to life with his explanations of what we were seeing. We even found a mother bear and two cubs in one of the creeks, and the rain and wind stopped for our time on the beach. We highly recommend this tour.

True Alaskan Wildlife Experience!

Very fun and truly a breath taking experience! Lauren was an amazing guide and she was so knowledgeable about the area. We went to the Salmon Hatchery and Herron Cove, and saw a lot of interesting birds and seagulls. We went down to the rock shores and watched several seals swimming a few yards from us. We had a great time at the Totem Pole park where 3 tribes would convene, and we also went hiking by the waterfalls. We were literally next to the water as it was dashing down from the mountain! We didnt see any bears because it is almost hibernation time, but we had a really great time over all! Lauren showed us where the salmons would spend their final days...and where to catch them. We definitely recommend this adventure tour to any one coming to Alaska or Ketchikan!

This was the highlight of...

This was the highlight of our vacation. Saw many feeding humpback whales. Boat was not crowded and super comfortable. Could sit indoors if the weather was bad and upstairs outdoor for a better view. The snacks, hot chocolate and coffee were icing on the cake. Thanks for a wonderful first time whale watching.

Just try it!

This excursion was so memorable. Even though we didn’t see any wildlife other than a couple of bald eagles, just riding around in these breathtaking waters was amazing. Our boat guide Danielle was full of information about the area, and Teddy, who drove us to and from Ward’s Cove to the resort where the Zodiacs launched from, was so amazingly friendly and upbeat that we were immediately put at ease for the whole experience. We highly recommend this tour!

Nice, beautiful day

My husband pulled his back the day prior to us leaving on our cruise and was unable to join. There were only three of us that day on the ebike/hike tour. Reivon and Dana were so kind, informative and truly let you ride at your pace with no pressure to keep up. They ride behind you. Dana mainly taught you the ebike tutorial and Reivon took over on the hike. The Ebikes are pretty simple but you definitely had to get use to the slight thrust forward when you began to pedal after resting going down a hill. The hike was a short one down to the ocean where you'll walk along the rocky shore. We were lucky enough to see a sea lion just off the coast, but saw no other wild life. We tasted different berries along the way and stopped at falls and waterways. Don't be afraid of the ebikes. You will get the hang of it. The hike is in and out. The red cedars are huge and beautiful.

Outstanding experience. Brilliant.

The trip was in a seaplane with about 8 or so passengers. You each get a window seat with good views. The pilot was very friendly and gave an excellent commentary pointing out places of interest below interspersed with relaxing music. The flight goes along the coast so you get excellent views of the terrain and amazing scenery. Something we would love to experience again. Would very highly recommend.

Fantastic Ketchikan Day

Wow! Hans was our tour guide and if I could give him 10 stars I would. He met us as soon as we stepped off the ship with a smile and lots of enthusiasm. He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and so engaging with our kids. We had 9 people total (4 adults, and kids aged 19, 17, 13, 12 and 5). Everyone had a blast. We started the day by exploring sea life like starfish, mussels, crabs, eagles, and more. Next we went to a beautiful waterfall and hiked all the way to the top with his help and direction. Next we headed over to find a bear, which we did! Hans was all eyes and ears trying to make sure we got to see one. We also toured the totem poles and Hans told us all the stories and history. I didn’t think this stop would be interesting to my kids, but he was so excited about the history that the kids loved it! This was by far our favorite day in Alaska. Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience.
