What are people saying about Inverness

Great guide, fantastic location locations, brilliant day.
Guide Ryan was super fun. He had a great knowledge of the history of the area and told some fun stories. The tour took us around the whole of Loch Ness and we stopped at many locations for photo opportunities. Ryan had good suggestions for lunch and before the tour finished he also had dinner suggestions. The cruise on Loch Ness was well worth doing as well. Was a full day with lots to see. Would highly recommend nice small group.

Perfect tour of Skye
The tour was amazing! Our guide Andrew did a fantastic job, he was very knowledgeable and funny! We were able to see so much of Skye and he even gave us alternatives with gorgeous views for what we couldn’t see due to filming. I would absolutely come back and do this again!

Great tour
Well worth the time. Small group which truly allows for more time at each stop. Our driver, Alex, was funny and knowledgeable about all the sites along the way. Urquart Castle is breathtaking and well worth the entrance fee. It is walkable although spread out. Loch Ness is beautiful - the cruise informative. Unfortunately no sign of Nessie. More than enough time at each stop. I would recommend this tour.

It's a very chill ride. Takes you through the beautiful Loch Ness with stunning views of Urquhart Castle (my favorite part). It's nothing fancy, but for the price it's worth it. There is an interesting history audio that plays for part of the trip. You can sit inside or outside on the boat.

This was an amazing experience. Our driver, Dave, was awesome. Very knowledgeable and shared so much of the history and how it still influences Scotland today. Had the best donut ever in Portree at MacKenzie's Bakery. Sites and stops were fantastic. Definitely was a great tour and worth every penny.

We were a bit skeptical...
We were a bit skeptical since a few things were cancelled; however, Sonia made the trip even better than was advertised with the locations she took us to and what we experienced. We saw so much more than anticipated. Her knowledge was awesome and even her playlist made the trip memorable (still playing some of her songs today). Highly recommend and ask for Sonia if you can.

This tour was honestly an amazing experience. I traveled with my two daughters and we had so much fun hearing about the ancient stories of the isles and seeing lots of beautiful scenery. Our driver Doreen and guide Marita were both wonderful and I would 100% recommend this tour.

Thanks to Fiona …
A very special thanks to our guide Fiona, who made this journey unforgettable. She was not just a driver, but a storyteller, historian, and entertainer all in one. Her knowledge about the Highlands, combined with her warm and friendly nature, kept us engaged throughout the long day. She made sure everyone felt comfortable, and her energy never dropped—even after hours on the road.
The views were simply breathtaking—Loch Ness, the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct, and the charming coastal beauty of Mallaig. Every stop felt like a postcard moment. Traveling with family (2 adults and 2 kids), we especially appreciated how comfortable the bus was and how well-paced the itinerary was for all age groups.
What really stood out was how Fiona added personal touches—sharing local stories, helpful tips, and even small details that you wouldn’t find in guidebooks. It didn’t feel like a commercial tour; it felt like exploring Scotland with a knowledgeable friend.
Overall, I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Inverness. And if you’re lucky enough to have Fiona as your guide, you’re guaranteed an exceptional experience!

Isle of Skye in winter
Really enjoyed this trip. Beautiful scenery and the tour guide provided a lot of information about the geography and the history of the people who settled here. Can’t wait to return to see what it looks like when it is warmer and the plants have bloomed.

An excellent day out exploring the Western Highlands
This is a long day, with a lot of ground covered. However, it is well paced and the Jacobite steam train ride in the middle of the day is a definite highlight and a comfortable ride. Ian was a great guide who was very knowledgable about the area and had many stories and local lore to add. He gave us plenty of time to explore various areas we visited, and adapted when one location was full and we couldn't park as planned. I highly recommend a fresh fish lunch in Mailag.

A must see!
FANTASTIC!!! We truly loved this trip. First, our guide, Liall, was amazing. He was professional, informative, and fun! I know it seems like a long day but it's really not. There is plenty to see and it's a great mixture of walking, sightseeing, and driving.
We had just the right amount of time in each spot. Dunrobin Castle was a nice place and the gardens are stunning. It's a great place to pick up a sandwich for take away if needed.
John O'Groats was beautiful. It's where the North Sea meets the Atlantic. There is a great distillery there for a quick flight of whiskey and a sweet treat.
Duncansby Stacks was probably one of my favorite stops. It was a wonderful walk along the cliffs and incredibly ocean view and breathtaking natural wonder of the stacks themselves.
There is so more to this tour and I'm happy we did it. It's such great way to enjoy this northeast area of Scotland without driving ourselves. We were able to sit back and relax during the drive and really see the gorgeous landscape.
Thank you Liall for making our day great! Your first aid skills were a blessing on this trip!!! :)

Excellent & Informative
We took this tour with our guide Elaine who was an exceptional teacher of the history of Inverness in particular and Scotland overall. She delighted in sharing stories and accounts as she stopped at a particular point of interest. Thank you Elaine! We recommend this tour completely!
