We went on a very windy...
We went on a very windy and cold day, but got some great photos and inside the cabin was nice and warm. The boat was clean, check-in was easy, there was parking closeby. Great little tour.

Great tour!
Our bus driver was a great local resource who pointed out a number of things on both the way to the cruise and after. Also, the guide on the cruise was also very informative. Both had a very good sense of humor which further enhanced both trips. The castle was also a wonderful experience.
We highly recommend this trip to everyone. We would also recommend wind and rain gear, because it is Scotland and the weather could change from minute to minute.

Was issues with a voucher...
Was issues with a voucher to exchange for tickets but we went to the cruise via open top bus but the vouchers not exchanged here but 5 miles up the road. Probably our mistake but confusing. Luckily the staff at the jacobite cruise changed them for a cruise they were doing so did not actually do this cruise. The only way to have got the voucher exchanged was to get a taxi to come out to us from Inverness which would have been expensive. If you your own car then might not have been a problem.

So Many Activities
Multiple stops. 30 minute Loch Ness boat cruise, Urquhart Castle, Whisky tasting, lunch in Beauly (visit the priory where the Outlander wedding scene was filmed). A short stop to see highland cows up close, Culloden Battlefield, and the Clava Cairns.

Best guide ever.
Our guide /driver Torquel was fantastic. His commentary and music added a lot to the tour. There was plenty of time at each activity.

Very good introduction to the Highlands!
Wonderful introduction to the Scottish Highlands. The best part was Urquhart Castle overlooking the Loch Ness. Oh, and the brief visit to the Highland Cow farm. We could have spent less time in Inverness, though that could have had something to do with the early timing of our arrival (and therefore too early for lunch). Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant - and he got us back to the cruise exactly on time.

Beautiful views
Very nice experience, beautiful views.
Nice staff. Opportunity to buy drinks. Bring top layer if you want to stay all the time outside.

Great experience, great guide!
I really enjoyed this tour! The journey was beautiful and our guide, Seoris, is from the area and has such an intimate and personal knowledge of Scotland as a whole and every site we visited. He is so informative and engaging and I loved each and every stop along the tour! The pickup and drop off from port could not be more convenient. I would highly recommend this!

Fantastic tour to the Scottish Highlands
This was a great experience and excursion. The driver was great, friendly and even played his bagpipes for us at the end of the tour. He picked us up at the cruise ship terminal. I have been on many excursions and this was one of the best experiences we have had in the last 30 years. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Day in the Highlands
This entire day was fantastic! George was a great tour guide and gave us a wonderful overview of Highland history and scenery. He customized the tour to meet our interests and included a couple of surprise add-ons that we loved. Highly recommend George at Go Highlands. We will be looking him up on our next trip to the Highlands.

When to visit

With its rich history of battles, Urquhart Castle is an absolute must for history enthusiasts.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring rain gear, as much of the ruins are exposed to the elements.
Most of the castle is accessible via paved paths, with the exception of the guardhouse, the battlements, and the first floor and basement of Grant Tower.
