The super-classic Tocllaraju NW ridge and the most difficult Ranrapalca Normal route belong to another climbing range and complete the possibilities.

A private car will pick you up at ~3AM from your hotel. After a 2h30 drive, you will reach the trailhead in Punta Olimpica. At the first sunrise lights, you will start hiking with our certified mountain guide for 1h on steep moraine rocks, then 1h30 on glacier with crampons and safety rope. You will finally summit the Mateo glacier at 5150m shortly after sunrise!! After enjoying the peak, you will descend for ~1h30 and drive back to Huaraz, arriving around 12AM-1PM.

ITINERARY: Day 1: Huaraz - Base Mateo 4700 masl - Summit Matthew 5150 masl - Base Camp - Huaraz: Pick up from the lodgings at 2:30 am and departure from Huaraz at 3.00 a.m. Approximately, heading north of Huaraz, arriving at Carhuaz, it deviates to enter the valley of Ulta - Olympic Point, reaching the Base at 4700 meters above sea level. After a brief stop to have breakfast, you leave for the summit of Mateo, passing through the moraine.
