Geneva Ethnography Museum (Musée d'Ethnographie de Genève)
  • The permanent exhibition is free of charge. The temporary exhibitions have an admission fee, although they’re free to visit on the first Sunday of every month and also free to holders of the Geneva Pass and Swiss Travel Pass.

  • There’s an onsite café that’s open from the morning, before the museum opens its doors. It’s a popular spot for breakfast before a museum visit, or for afternoon drinks on the sunny terrace.

  • The MEG building is considered wheelchair-accessible with ramps and elevators. Wheelchairs are available from the ticket office, and there are two disabled car parking spaces in front of the museum on Boulevard Carl-Vogt.

  • The MEG is a great option for families with plenty of exhibits to satisfy curious minds along with regular family workshops and discovery trails. And when kids need to let off steam, there’s a nearby playground (open to the public at weekends) with a covered picnic area, too.
