Achilleion Palace Tours and Tickets - page 2

Our first stop was the palace owned br Sisi, empress of Austria. The palace is closed for renovations, but the gardens statues were impressive. Our next stop was the view of the island in a monastery located right beside the airport. It was nice to see the airplane landing, as well as the photo op for the island and many cats. The next stop was the shopping area by the old Fortress walls. I would have liked to have gone into one of the fortresses, but that was not part of the store. Our Tour Guide was outstanding and it was also nice to have a separate driver who is also great. We finished our morning tour and had lunch as recommended by our Tour Guide. Even though the Tour Guide was outstanding, I would probably opt for something in addition to the palace tour versus seeing the island and doing the shopping area walk-through, which we could’ve done on our own.

Superb time and learned much from Gordana through her gentle way to convey the amazing volume of knowledge she possesses. She really added value to our visit to Corfu.
