Great Tour

Wonderful tour with Gaby

Our guide Oscar made our day in El Salvador the best day so far on our cruise. He is polite, knowledgeable, genuine, and so easy to speak to. We learned so much from this man, and if we return to El Salvador I would 100% contact him again. The park was beautiful and the Papusa asking was fun.

Amazing day in El Salvador with a fun hike!

Wonderful experience! We were traveling with our 8 month old and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hike was fun and manageable with a little one (bring a carrier or hiking carrier if you have a small baby). We were prepared but just a heads up for any other travelers. We loved all of the stops on the tour ! Our guide, Oscar , was knowledgeable and very kind. He knew so much about El Salvador and his love for his country exudes in the way he speaks. We loved getting to know him and this beautiful country !

Completely worth it!!

I had the pleasure of booking a 6-day tour in the country of El Salvador, and it exceeded all my expectations!! It was my first time visiting the country, and it had such breathtaking landscapes, friendly locals, nice hotels, and great food. All the places were great, but my favorite was staying in the town of Ataco due to meeting many great locals where we spent hours talking to them, the great weather, the nice hotel, and walking around the town. I must commend our tour guide Alex for his exceptional service throughout the trip. He was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about sharing his love for the country. He had a great understanding of the history, culture, and natural wonders of El Salvador, enriching our journey with fascinating facts and stories. His expertise and professionalism added an extra layer of enjoyment, making our trip even more memorable and stress-free. I would highly recommend booking a tour for anyone planning a visit to El Salvador, especially if it's your first time visiting.

Best shore experience

Josue (spelling?) was a wonderful guide who spoke English very well, and informed us on all major topics related to El Salvador’s history and current situation. We went up a volcano for excellent view and gardens, toured the “Pompeii” of the Americas Joya de Ceren to see an ancient village frozen in time, and enjoyed a restful lunch stop along scenic lake in caldera. We didn’t even have lunch but enjoyed sitting and looking at the lake. Driver was excellent getting us up and down the hills. Don’t expect grand structures at the ruins—it was just a farming village but well-preserved. Such wattle and daub construction would normally be lost to time.

Excellent tour & tour guide, Josué!

Josué, our tour guide, is OUTSTANDING! He speaks excellent English with a mild accent. He knows the history of his country including ancient, modern, political, and more. He talked to us along the way coming and going. He driver was waiting at the foot of our Oceania Vista cruise ship at least 30 minutes before our 8 am meeting time with the van nearby. We had 5 couples in van that held 15, so it was very comfortable. The sites were excellent and he and the driver Josué (yes, same name!) made sure we got back to our ship before 3 pm, we'll ahead of the ship's departure time of 4 pm, which we were all very glad about. He adjusted our stopping times with our collective agreement so we should be sure to get back on time. Some of the Oceania's own tours o ly got back shortly before 4 pm. Would love to do other tours with Josué.

Amazing trip!

This was a fantastic experience! There is a short 40 minute hike where you are able to see views of the Lago de Coatepeque. We went during a time when the lake turns turquoise and it was so beautiful. Lunch was also really great as the restaurant we went to was on the lake and there was an opportunity to jetski as well as ride the ferry. Overall this trip was a 10/10.

Excellent tour of El Salvador.

If you have one day to experience El Salvador away from the beach and the City do this tour! Roberto was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable about history and proud to show off his country. Perfect English. We had a blast all day and really enjoyed lunch in the volcano crater. Felt safe the entire time. Trip is highly recommended!!
