Northern Thailand personalized tour
Individualized attention with a busy, very full day. Sandy provided almost continuous narration and insight. Thoroughly enjoyed our 9 hour day visiting Hill Tribe Villages, tea plantation, lunch stop, Mae Sai skywalk and Golden Triangle/Opium Museum.

Our guide and driver took...
Our guide and driver took us to visit a beautiful tea plantation, a border town for shopping, lunch and a boat ride at the golden triangle, an opium museum, and tribal village. We had a great day with a friendly, accommodating guide and driver. If we did it again I would ask to spend more time at the tea plantation and tribal village, and less time at the border town.

Great countryside tour of northern Thailand
The highlight of this wonderful tour was our guide, Bank. He was informative, attentive and funny. The sights were amazing and an opportunity to get away from the crowds and hustle of the cities. We got to see the country side around Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle.

Personable and got a good understanding of the area.
Very personable and trustworthy guide experience. Wish he spoke More English to give more history but he did a good Job. Very organized. We saw a lot.

Chiang Saen
  • There are basic accommodation options in Chiang Saen and plenty of restaurants and cafés.

  • It is not possible for foreigners to cross the border to Laos at Chiang Saen; you will need to go to nearby Chiang Khong instead.

  • Most of the town’s attractions are wheelchair and stroller accessible, but roads around the ruins may not be paved.
