Trekking to Point Lenana at 16,059 feet (4,895 meters)—one of Mt. Kenya’s three summits—is challenging but enjoyable for fit walkers. NaroMoru Route is the most popular of all the routes that lead up to Mount Kenya. It is the steepest and the fastest way up Mt Kenya and ascends the mountain from the west. The route is particularly scenic but has some of the best views of Batian 5199 m and nelion 5099m up the mountain after hike descent down to met station and connect transfer back to Nairobi arriving Nairobi around 5 to 6 pm

The Chogoria route is our recommended and arguably the most magnificent ascent route to the summit of Mount Kenya. The physical landscape on this route is its biggest attraction. Whereas the other routes above generally follow a U-Shaped glacial valley for much of the way, the Chogoria traverses around the head of the spectacular ‘Temple’ with the Hall Tarns perched on the rock ledge above it and Lake Michaelson in the base of the Amphitheatre. The additional features of Lake Ellis, the Giant’s Billiard Table and the Nithi Falls further add to its interest. The descent by the Sirimon route takes one through some beautiful forest tracks and completes the traverse of the mountain.

Our activity will start at 7:00am where by our driver will pick you from your hotels or residence and head to Nanyuki which is about 4 hours. When you arrive in Nanyuki you will head towards Sirimon gate which is few minutes from Nanyuki Town where our trek starts .This creative climb joins two scenic routes of Mount Kenya , Sirimon and Chogoria , producing a remarkably diverse and spectacular trek. Sirimon coming off the West of Mount Kenya passes through the dry side of the Mountain with its giant trees and rocky terrain, and the descent onto the Chogoria path is totally different with its lush bamboo and highland forests. The final night time ascent of Point Lenana can be difficult as any ascent in East Africa , but the rest of the trek is generally considered easier than either Kilimanjaro and Rwenzoris , and this is most likely climbfor actually seeing the big game.
