Great tour and an amazing experience overall.
Great tour and an amazing experience overall. Valle de la Luna truly lives up to its name — the landscapes felt surreal and unlike anywhere we’ve been before. Watching the sunset over the desert was absolutely beautiful. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the tour was very well organised. A must-do when visiting San Pedro de Atacama.

Unforgettable introduction to the Atacama Desert
An unforgettable introduction to the Atacama Desert. Our half-day tour to Valle de la Luna felt incredibly thorough and thoughtfully curated, allowing us to experience far more than we expected in just a few hours. The desert landscape is truly otherworldly. What made the tour particularly special was that it wasn’t just scenic viewpoints - we also set out on a beautiful hike, exploring different formations up close and learning fascinating geological insights along the way. Our guide was a very knowledgeable and warm woman who kindly took individual photographs of everyone, which was such a thoughtful touch - especially meaningful during our honeymoon. To top it all off, we enjoyed a lovely picnic prepared by our guide. Sitting there, sharing food while overlooking the oasis, felt incredibly special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting San Pedro de Atacama.

  • Moon Valley(Valle de la Luna) and the Atacama Desert are must-visits for nature lovers.

  • Pack sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water as there’s little shade in the desert, but bring warm clothing for the evening hours too, as temperatures can drop quickly, even in summer.

  • Most of the desert roads are unpaved and the terrain uneven, so a 4WD is advisable, and comfortable walking shoes are a must.

  • Cell phone service is scarce throughout the desert, and Wi-Fi is only available at a few hotels in San Pedro de Atacama.
