Springbrook National Park Tours and Tickets

Springbrook National Park is part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests. It features four sections on and around the Springbrook Plateau, and is known for its subtropical and temperate rainforest, eucalypt forest, heath, waterfalls, and diverse wildlife. It’s located in the Gold Coast Hinterlands, around 62 miles (100 kilometers) south of Brisbane.

There are more than 10 hiking trails in Springbrook National Park. Popular trails include the Best of All Lookout trail with its excellent viewpoint, the Twin Falls Circuit, which leads to Canyon Lookout and a natural rock pool, and the Purling Brook Falls Circuit, which goes over a suspension bridge across a dramatic gorge.

While you can visit Springbrook National Park year-round, the most popular time to visit is from December to March. June to September offers ideal hiking weather, but temperatures can drop in the evenings. Visit on a clear day for the best views or at night to see the glow worms at Natural Bridge.

Although Springbrook National Park itself doesn’t offer tours, plenty of tours depart from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. Some tours focus on the waterfalls and wildlife, including visiting Natural Bridge at night to see the glow worms, while others combine Springbrook National Park with Tambourine National Park.

Yes, camping is allowed in Springbrook National Park within its only designated camping area, the Settlement camping area on the Springbrook plateau. The campground offers sites for tents, camper trailers, and campervans. Neither power nor showers are available. Camping permits must be obtained and paid for in advance.

There are plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities in Springbrook National Park, which is home to more than 3,000 species, including mammals and more than 100 bird species, including wallabies, koalas, possums, sugar gliders, cockatoos, rosellas, and lyrebirds. The park is also home to glowworms.
