Wonderful and flawless experience with Viator from booking my private tour, customizing my trip as per the available time and accommodating to flight delays, picking me up from the airport, taking me around in Abu Dhabi and then to drop off to the hotel at the end of the tour! My tour guide Shazad was extremely courteous, friendly, flexible and knowledgable! He was helpful with suggesting places for shopping, food and gave some safely tips. At the end of the trip, I was dropped off to my hotel safely. With the time limitation, we had to cut out few places to visit but we were able to accomplish visits to most of the interesting and important places on my list. I planned my layover trip to Abu Dhabi on the way to India and I am so glad I made the choice of private tour with Viator. I was all alone and did not have to worry about anyone else’s preference of the tour schedules or timings. Good introduction for first time visitors – Consider appropriate clothing for the mosque.

It’s a very good introduction if first time in Abu Dhabi to get an overview and some facts and anecdotes of the city. We enjoyed the visit to the Grand Mosque despite being very crowded, and some confusion on dress code: My specially bought and used abaya and shayla from Quatar, was not considered appropriate enough with my tights (only covering my knees and partly my legs), and the guide convinced me to be on the safest side possible and lent me a ‘proper’ abaya without any opening in the front not risking to be stopped on entrance. Probably not necessary looking at the other female visitors’ clothing but why take the risk. The guide had nothing to lend to gentlemen, so they needed to take care of their own appearance. Attentive guide and we appreciated the private city tour for our family. Recommendable.

Fantastic introduction to Abu Dhabi

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque was very beautiful. I loved seeing the incredible architecture and stunning designs. However, there was a lot of walking involved and the path for visitors was restricted so you had to keep going in a specified direction and it made the process unnecessarily long and tedious. After the mosque, we visited a lovely Heritage Village where we learned about the old way of life in Dubai. We saw animals, markets, and historical artifacts. It was wonderful. Then we went to Emirates Palace which was spectacular. Overall this trip is a fantastic introduction to Abu Dhabi and well worth the trip.

Really interesting session. Meeting the guide at Yas central, via gate 20, then jumping on a small coach to tour the circuit. There are lots of stops along the way to take photos, and the guide offered good insight into the key areas of the track. Recommended.

This tour was great if you have limited time in the city. We had an over night stay between stops so wanted to squeeze in a quick tour of Abu Dhabi highlights. Loved the Mosque and presidential palace. The heritage market was touristy and doesn’t require a long stop. The Emirates Palace was beautiful.

Great overview of Abu Dhabi

There’s no way you can really know Abu Dhabi in depth in one day, but this is a great tour to give a first timer an overview of what the city has to offer. There’s a lot of flexibility built-in so if something is more interesting, you have an opportunity to spend more time. We spent the entire day with Shijar, who provided excellent context, history, and insight about the city, making it so much more enjoyable. We were particularly curious, asking tons of questions, and Shijar fielded them like a champ!
