- Mosques & Palace have very strict dress codes: women must wear long loose clothing, and ensure their arms and legs are fully covered. Women are also required to cover their heads at all times. For Mosque visit a long Abaya with scarf (long black dress attire) will be provided by the tour operator if needed which must be returned back; Men must not show above their knees and must cover their shoulders. Failure to do so will be a refused entry. The tour operator cannot provide any clothing for men

It’s a very good introduction if first time in Abu Dhabi to get an overview and some facts and anecdotes of the city. We enjoyed the visit to the Grand Mosque despite being very crowded, and some confusion on dress code: My specially bought and used abaya and shayla from Quatar, was not considered appropriate enough with my tights (only covering my knees and partly my legs), and the guide convinced me to be on the safest side possible and lent me a ‘proper’ abaya without any opening in the front not risking to be stopped on entrance. Probably not necessary looking at the other female visitors’ clothing but why take the risk. The guide had nothing to lend to gentlemen, so they needed to take care of their own appearance. Attentive guide and we appreciated the private city tour for our family. Recommendable.

Our guide for the day was Shijar. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Vehicle was clean and comfortable with sufficient AC. For our itinerary we went to the grand mosque, heritage village, emirates palace, louvre (photo stop only), and date market. The stop at Yas island was cancelled due to the incoming F1 race being prepared for. I would have been okay skipping the heritage village and louvre personally but overall it’s a nice itinerary that hits a good amount of Abu Dhabi’s main attractions. The mosque and date market were the primary reasons we chose this private half day tour and it did not disappoint. The mosque is beyond beautiful and the date market was a fun experience getting to sample several different date varieties as well as Dubai chocolate. Shijar went above and beyond on our route back to the cruise ship and stopped at a grocer to buy us camel milk to try which was unexpected and very appreciated.

We had one day to see the major sights in Abu Dhabi and this was the perfect solution. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque at sunset was incredible and certainly the highlight of the tour. Our guide, Shafi, was also very helpful in capturing photos of us at every stop.

The cultural heritage village is a little hokey but the rest was great.

A great way to be introduced to Abu Dhabi as first time visitors and Australian tourists on a 13 hour layover.
Shafi was a terrific guide and driver taking us around and allowing us our own time to marvel at the Mosque and drink gold coffee at the Palace during our tour.
Shafi had good knowledge of Abu Dhabi and all the buildings and islands that we could see from many angles as he drove us around a surprisingly free flowing road system.

Very good half day tour, giving a good sense of Abu Dhabi more broadly ie the most upmarket residential areas as well as the individual cultural sites. The Grand Mosque is stunning. The only thing we felt we really missed out on was the historic fort which we took ourselves to see the following day. Our driver and guide Shafik was really informative about the history and the details of the city as we drove around it

After deliberating which company to choose for our half-day lay-over sightseeing in Abu Dhabi, and after reading all the negative reviews of other companies, we chose Riyago Tourism for there perfect 5 star rating (with only a single 3-start rating which turned out to be a misunderstanding).
We were not disappointed and highly recommend Noushad who met us inside the airport terminal, conducted us to a super clean and comfortable a/c van, and gave us an amazing tour of the city.
He impressed us with his knowledge of the History, Demographics, Politics and customs on the city, region and country.
He tailored the trip to suit us, never missing anything on the agenda and delivered us back to the airport for our ongoing flight.

It was a good tour. Our guide Shijar was pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. But the the time allotted to the entire tour wasn't nearly enough. The Heritage Village needs at least 45 minutes to an hour, not just a half hour. The Grand Mosque is an amazing place. Its huge and extremely crowded. We practically raced through the place and still exceeded the assigned 1 hour limit. By the time we came out of the mosque, it'd have been great to have a short down time, at least for a cup of coffee. We were exhausted and hungry and considering the time for the guide, we declined his offer to visit the date souk. It was more than 4 hours already. We enjoyed what we saw, but still came away rushed, frustrated and dissatisfied.

Shijar was an amazing and informative guide who was so friendly and helpful. Communication via WhatsApp was regular prior to pick up and whole tour was seamless. Highlight is The Grand Mosque which was stunning and a must if visit Abu Dhabi.

A great overview of Abu Dhabi in half a day. Our driver Noufal was great, shared lots of interesting information and was very patient and accommodating. We had already been to the Heritage Village so he included an alternative tourist point which was appreciated.
The Mosque was stunning and whilst as a female I was wearing appropriate clothing, Noufal had a traditional robe with him which I could wear.
Definitely recommend the trip.

Great communication from Shijar. Picked up on time and our family had a great and informative half day seeing the main sights of Abu Dhabi. The tour was at a relaxed pace with great photo stops. Shijar is also a great photographer helping us to capture some great memories. This private tour meant we were running our own schedule and not having to wait for others. Would highly recommend this tour and definitely ask for Shijar.
