The Treasure Hunt was good fun but we should have started earlier. Tip to others would be to make sure you have plenty of time as clues are quite tricky!

Brilliant app, great clues and a super way to get a look around York. I 100% recommend, the clues were simple yet complex enough for my 8 year old to help. There are other free hunts around the city (like the black cats) but they aren’t tied to landmarks in the same way. Would be better if each solved clue unlocked some audio file or facts about where you were too.

We really enjoyed finding our way around York using back alleys and snickleways. We found some places we hadn't seen before, even though this was our third visit to the city. Some of the clues were more tricky but that made it challenging and enjoyable.

Really enjoyed the hunt around York city. As regular York visitors we thought we knew the city well, oh no we were wrong we discovered places and sites we’d never noticed before, many places we’d walked passed and not even noticed. Most clues made you think but weren’t too difficult, we only got stuck on 1 clue and used the hints provided. You can either do the hunt in a couple of hours or like we did most of the day making lots of stops on the way for food and drink. If you’re visiting York give this ago it’s fun and gets you to see York in a way you wouldn’t wondering round on your own.

A couple night away with the kids and this was the perfect activity to get us talking, exploring and having fun around York. Walked down some lovely little streets we didn’t know existed and took in all the history and quaint sights that York has to offer. Will be doing more of these in different cities.

We got to see parts of York that we wouldn't have otherwise. The first clue stumped us for a bit but after that we were on a roll. The hints are helpful and it reminds you to take in your surroundings, rather than race to complete it.
