We booked this tour as we wanted to have a stress-free visit of the two main temples and the volcano and I must say this was a great tour! The organization was perfect and everything in the day went smoothly, we did not have to worry about anything apart from enjoying the activities. Our driver was Fajar and we had a really fun time together! He was really friendly and we spoke about Indonesian culture, knowledge and life in general, great atmosphere to make the rides pass by faster! Fajar was perfectly on time and made sure all was clear for us at the temples, accompanying us to the temple guides and getting us in practical meet-up points. He also brought several water bottles and was open to make various stops if we needed to. We really had a great time. Highly recommended!!

A full day with Faiq our well informed and very accommodating guide. First stop Borobudur, followed by Merapi in a Jeep and then onto Prambanan. The day went very smoothly, with the odd unscheduled stop. Definitely do Borobudur in the morning ( first stop) as it’s cooler and Prambanan last ( you can take as long or short a time as you like) Although a big day it’s worth the effort

Amazing sights and just being around the temple was great experience. Improvement: The tour took too long, 55 mins , only allowing us a few mins to enjoy the Nirvana level before having to leave.

We had an amazing day visiting the Prambanan and Borobudur temples and doing the jeep tour of the Merapi volcano in this private tour! Everything was really well organised but still quite flexible (we started with Menrapi because the weather was better in the morning) and our driver, Faiq, was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained to us a lot about the local culture and was happy to answer all our questions! Would recommend without hesitation!

Great tour and well organized. All entrance fees are taking care of. Hendra the driver was excellent and felt safe during the trip. For the volcano part, the guide Fanny was very friendly, explained me very well the history of the volcano. I enjoyed this tour in one day because you can see all the essential things to do around Yogyakarta.

We had a really great time. The temples are fascinating and the jeep ride up Merapi was really fun (unfortunately it was cloudy so we could not see the top).
We were really lucky that there was nobody else so it was basically a private tour!
One recommendation. When you get to Prambanan it is definitely worth hiring the local guides. It's very cheap (about £8) and you will get loads of good explanation.

Our tour guide himself was great and it was great to have our tickets ready for us but some of the experience was lackluster. Tour guides are at the sites and you can pre-book and get taxis to take you in between. My group found the mount merapi Jeep tour very tacky and weird and our the jeep that we were riding in for the merapi experience broke down in a river. Additionally, lunch was really late and after starting the day at 6:30 we were starving by the time we got the restaurant at 3 PM. Also, by paying $125 pp I would expect the meal to be fre or cheap but the prices were very high and felt like a tourist trap. Borobudur and Prambanan are breathtaking but definitely frustrating to have a pretty long and drawn out experience when we realize we could have pre-booked our favorite parts of the experience for cheaper and spent less time driving seeing the surrounding area of Jogja.

Our team always try to give the best service for our customers. However there is something that occurs during the trip that out of our control. We hire a jeep to take you closer to the volcano for you to see the volcano from short distance, however the cloudy sky make the experience less attractive, and we could not control this. Regarding the broken jeep, it was also coincidence. We do not want it to happen as well, however we will also discuss with our jeep vendor to do better maintanance for their jeeps.
Regarding the restaurant, we already mention that meals are not included in our package. And we always try to find a restaurant as close as to our destination, so it will not take a lot of time to reach.
Due to this strategic location as it is located close to the one of UNESCO World Heritage, it will be normal for a restaurant to charge more as they also need to pay the rented land or to pay the employees. However, it will be looks expensive when the price appears in Indonesia Rupiah, but when it is converted into USD, it will cost less than or not far away from USD 10 per person, and everybody aggrees that this amount is much cheaper compared with any restaurant in a strategic location around the world.

Want I timely pick-up, good driver, good English and have interesting local information. Heavy rain spoiled Merapi volcano views, but enjoyed Borobodur (with guide) and Prambadan. Good lunch spot - simple but fair value. Expensive trip but all included other than lunch. Enjoyed the day.
