The walk was not strenuous and the guide allowed for everyone’s pace. The stories were interesting and nothing was too scary. Buzz spoke loudly enough so everyone could hear. He was knowledgeable and the history and stories were interesting and memorable.

Wonderful tour tonight led by the very thoughtful and knowledgeable Jessica! I’ve lived in Alexandria going on 22 years and am still learning new things about Alexandria we didn’t know before. The pace was just right, allowing us time at each spot to reflect on information she was sharing with us alongside observations of the buildings/sites we were visiting. Communication leading up to the tour too was transparent, to confirm exact meeting locations and how to spot her. She took her time to make sure all members of our party didn’t straggle too far apart/behind so that we didn’t miss information she was sharing, or crossing intersections. Having now done this “tourist in our own city” we will definitely do it again.

The tour guide changed the meeting location and did not check for missing customers who were at the original directed location even though it was less than 200 yards from where she was. Where I come from it is common to make sure the customers are with you, and to change the location of the place to meet at the last minute and not check the other place is very bad customer service. When asking for a refund, it was denied telling me this is not a customer service focused organization.

As a “ghost tour” I would not recommend. As a historical walking tour, it was good. I have been on other ghost tours that were interactive and that was my expectation for this one.

Super disappointing. This was not the tour that was described online. I picked a kid free tour, there were kids. Our tour guide was maybe 20 years old and didn’t really seem to know what he was talking about. The tour wasn’t scary, we just stood outside buildings while the tour guide talked for 20 minutes for each stop, which was honestly awful. There were no costumes, no scary experiences. Disappointing all around. And Viator will not refund my money.

Hi Haley, we think you might have us confused with another tour company. All of our tours are all-ages, and children are welcome to attend. We are a walking ghost tour, and we take pride in keeping our stories authentic and based in history. We are not in the business of creating false "scary experiences", and paranormal activity is not guaranteed on every tour--though our guests have seen some interesting things while on tour with us in the past. We are sincerely sorry to hear this tour was not what you expected, but it sounds like you might have looked at the description for a different company before booking with us.

Guide was very knowledgeable and seemed to love his job. The group was a little large, but the guide still did a good job. The guide did a good job of introducing historical facts with good humor.

The tour guides were late and the first tour guide, which was our tour guide had over 40 people or more waiting. The gentleman with the Lateran came later and took half of the group. No one had ghost tour shirts and only one person with a Lateran. Our guide was great.
