Overview

Soviet history buffs and fans of the HBO series Chernobyl will enjoy this tour of the show’s filming locations in Vilnius. Your guide will take you to the district of Fabijoniškės, which stood in for the Ukrainian nuclear power plant city of Pripyat in the series. You’ll learn about the nuclear disaster and what life was like under Soviet occupation. The tour ends at a former KGB prison that now serves as the Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights.

Domas was outstanding! We got all the information about “Chernobyl” and so much more about Lithuania and Vilnius. Get out of those pre-packaged, big group style cruise tours and get a tour with Domas.

My husband and I loved this tour from Domas. It was personalized to what we were interested in (answered all our questions) such as Soviet history and Chernobyl filming. We visited unique spots that only this tour would take you. Not only did we learn from this tour, we took incredible photos that became our favorite memory from our trip! After the site touring, Domas took us to the KGB museum where he gave insight on information we would’ve not known and gave us free time after to explore. Domas came and picked us up from the hotel. His English is excellent. Not only did we get to see all the places that featured in Chernobyl the series, he told us about life under Soviet Regime. It was very interesting. He left us at the KGB museum which was on our to do list anyway.
