Great way to see the city. Ride in comfort and style. Driver was excellent; maneuvering easily around the city. Driver was knowledgeable and pleasant. Tour was tailored to specific needs of one of our group that used a cane. A perfect taste of the lovely city of Vancouver.

Best of Vancouver Private Tour was a delightful way to experience the city. Our guide, Chuck, picked us up at our hotel in his classic 1996 Cadillac limousine—a memorable and charming start to the day.
We explored many of Vancouver’s highlights, from beautiful Stanley Park to Queen Elizabeth Park, where Chuck surprised us with a visit to the Bloedel Conservatory. We continued through vibrant Chinatown and historic Gastown, learning about the city’s rich history along the way.
Chuck is more than a driver—he is a storyteller, historian, and ambassador for Vancouver. His humor, knowledge, and easygoing charm made every stop more meaningful. If you’re looking for a personalized introduction to Vancouver with a guide who truly loves his city, this tour is a wonderful choice.

It was a lot of fun and we received a lot of great information about Vancouver. Chuck shared his knowledge about the city and was very attentive. The Cadillac limousine private tour was very comfortable and drew a lot of attention! I wish I remembered to take a photo of Chuck and his limo!

We booked the tour for Christmas eve. I was concerned we wouldn't get the tour as described, but after speaking with Chuck, our tour guide, he put those concerns to rest. Chuck was full of energy both on the phone and in person. Chuck was very knowledgeable on the history of Vancouver. He was engaging, funny and most of all patient. After providing the descriptions of several of the places, he allowed as to explore on our own without feeling rushed. The limousine was a cool addition. It was clean and comfortable and because of the wide windows you could see a lot of scenery while driving to the places of interest. We had a great time! I would definitely recommend the Best of Vancouver Private Tour.

We started an extended Alaska cruise/land trip in Vancouver. We had never been there before so we needed someone to share their knowledge of the city, it's sites and history to get a feel for Vancouver. Chuck was that person. He made us feel welcome and at ease from the moment we met him. He was friendly, personable and very knowledgeable. We ended the tour wishing we had more time to explore Vancouver on our own, but sadly we did not. We would both love to go back.
As far as the "technical" details of the tour, everything was exactly as it was represented. Chuck picked us up at our hotel, The Sutton Place, on time. In fact he was a bit early, as we were. If we had requests, he accommodated them to the extent possible. We were the only couple on this particular tour so it worked out very well. I would recommend this to anyone who has never been to Vancouver.
Thank you Chuck!!!
Response from Host, Jan 2025
You are very welcome Michael. It was a fun day for me too. Just to clarify we only do private tours, so it was never intended to have anyone else in the limo. All the best. Chuck

My recent experience on the "Best of Vancouver" tour was truly memorable. I came away with the understanding that Vancouver is a city of constant innovation, seamlessly blending its rich history with forward-thinking developments.
From its early days as a port city to its present international reputation, Vancouver's journey is one of remarkable transformation. Our tour guide Chuck expertly narrated this evolution, highlighting the city's milestones, including hosting Expo 86 and the 2010 Winter Olympics.
The tour itself covered an interesting range of highlights, from stunning lookouts and views to the serene beauty of Stanley Park. It seemed as if each stop was carefully chosen to showcase another angle of Vancouver and Chuck provided fascinating insights at every turn.
One of the most impressive aspects of the tour was exploring Vancouver's commitment to sustainability. The guide pointed out the innovative green roofs adorning many buildings, a testament to the city's dedication to environmental responsibility. This forward-thinking approach is evident in various city projects, from eco-friendly architecture to extensive bike lanes and green spaces.
The conversion of former railway yards into the thriving dining and shopping district of Yaletown was another highlight. This revitalized area beautifully illustrates Vancouver's ability to repurpose and rejuvenate its spaces while preserving its historical essence. The same can be said with the impressive Granville island. The vibrant atmosphere, trendy boutiques, and diverse culinary offered in those repurposed industrial sites provided a glimpse into the city's dynamic urban life.
Overall, the "Best of Vancouver" tour is an excellent way to experience the city's innovative spirit and rich history. It's a perfect blend of past and present, showcasing how Vancouver continues to evolve while staying true to its roots. Highly recommended for anyone eager to explore this beautiful and progressive city!

We booked for our private car for city tour a Vancouver. It was fabulous being in a private car, because we beat the buses! CHUCK was full of knowledge, and had a very easy going to demeanor, to keep us informed on everything we saw.
We also went into some areas like Shaughnessy and private homes. CHUCK was able to take us off the beaten path. I had Sara and I highly recommend him Patty Larkin
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thank you Sara. It was a pleasure touring with you. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Our guide and driver was Anita. She was so well informed and geared our trip to everything we wanted to see. It was our first visit to Vancouver and this was a great way to get the lay of the land on our first day. I loved the historic info Anita shared. I would recommend the company get a vehicle with a sun roof so we could see all the great architecture.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Thanks for your kind words Annette. I agree a sunroof would be wonderful, I have even been working on getting convertibles to do the tours in. Stay tuned for new developments. Look forward to seeing you again someday. All the best. Chuck

Driver showed up on time and directed us to car. Car was a very outdated old style limousine, with little to no working air conditioning on a very hot day. To make matters worse, the air conditioning was also very loud, so the two people in the back of the limousine heard none of the guide's remarks. While guide was VERY knowledgeable, he spoke very fast and I had a hard time following along. One in our party walks with a cane, and the point of doing a private tour was to be a bit more accommodating to her needs. Unfortunately, I felt that the guide and driver missed that to some extent . . . for example, parking could have been closer (there were spots available) and where closer parking wasn't available, we could have been dropped off closer to the attraction. Seemed like it was the drivers first day - she was very nice, but driving was tentative which resulted in a rougher ride than we would have expected. Content wise, we saw a lot, but over the following days when we participated in larger tours, we found the transportation much better and more accommodating to our party's needs.

We were supposed to be a group of six for a private tour of Vancouver but because one of the ladies of our group got very ill migraine headaches from an earlier private Wild BC Tour see my post we were only four adults. Actually the vehicle was an old cadillac limo which although it was fine for the four of us, I doubt that it would have been comfortable for six adults. Our tour guide was excellent and very informative. We enjoyed this tour very much. Our only suggestion would be to be able to spend more time on Granville Island.

Our guide Chuck picked us at the cruise terminal. I was worried he would never find us but that worry was not necessary. He told us to call him when we were ready. We did that and there he was. He gave us a four hour tour of the town and let us decide when we were ready to move on. We enjoyed Stanley Park, had a quick lunch down in the arts section, toured China town, Elizabeth Park and gastown.
He then took us to our hotel and helped us unload all our luggage. Nothing but good things to say about Viator.
Kenneth_S, Sep 2017
This was an incredible tour of Vancouver including Stanley Park, Queen Elizabeth Park, Granville Island, and Gas Town where we were given time to shop, look around, and take photos, We had delays getting into port, but Chuck worked around this and gave us a great tour of the city. My wife had some issues walking and was constantly checking on her to be sure she was doing well. This tour should be in the Carnival list of available tours. Thanks Chuck for an incredible tour of Vancouver!!!

Taking a private car is the way to go because it really saves time. my only suggestion is don't go the the same places as the buses visit in the same order vere off to other interesting places where buses cannot go! its a car ok?? Also since we are paying private car prices how about a bottle of water . and a map of the city would be nice. when we get out to explore on our own.
otherwise it was great!!
