The views and experience were inexplicable. It was a like a fairy tale. We even get a view of the sunrise
It is primarily an early morning affair. We were picked up at 5:40am.
It also depends on the weather. Therefore you are encouraged to book it early in your stay at Cappadocia in case any changes are made, you would still have a chance at it.

Wonderful experience! I'll tell you, I booked it a while ago and luckily I had 5 days in Cappadocia because it was canceled a day before and we had to rebook for two days later (paying more around €40) but I think it's not the tour's fault operator. However, they are perfect, the captain is handsome and friendly and the tour is amazing. It starts through the Pigeon Valley and rises to 800 meters high. The whole thing lasts 2 hours (from collection to return to the hotel) at the end they give you a certificate of participation and offer you a glass of champagne (non-alcoholic) not very good but it was enough! This is an absolute waste of money. Do not book this because it is cheaper than the other options.
The team was late and we missed the sunset. There were no other hot air balloons and we were stationary in the air for 20 mins without any movement.
They dropped us after 35 mins and we did not get to see anything.
I was extremely disappointed and it was a complete waste of money. This is just a scam

Actual mentioned ride was from cat valley but we were taken to valley which is 70km away and by the time we reached,it was already sunrise and ours is only one ballon which started in that location. Through out journey no one was informed why location is changed. Pilot was good but overall experience was worst. We started at 5am and reached back our room at 11:15am. I recommend every to opt for Goreme instead of cat or any other valley. Very disappointing experience. I request Viator to look into the issue and hope others will not have such experience. Also allocated travel guide was not responsive. After paying 405£ we expect customer service should be proper and responsive but here travel guide is not at all responsive.

The balloon pilot was very professional and experienced, and we had an enjoyable ride. However, the overall experience was terrible. We were sold an experience of watching the sunrise over Cat valley just 30 minutes or so away from our hotel, but we were taken to Ihlara Valley over 1.5 hours away. No one informed us that the destination had changed. We kept driving and driving not knowing where we were going. We finally arrived after sunrise as we waited for the balloons to fill up. Even though the deal was to be back at the hotel by 8:00am, we didn't arrive back until after 10:00am.

We drove 600 kilometers to have the most beautiful experience of a lifetime to fly with a balloon in the Görem area. The reality was with Pegas balloons that we were dropped in an open field 40 kilometers away from the hotspot. We flew with only 1 other balloon in a small valley and mostly agriculture ground (grass fields). We paid 1200 euro’s for our family and this was a dissappointment. I would never recommend this company!!!

Viator should stop doing business with this operator, the activity was cancelled in the last minutes due to a bad weather which is totally untrue, the sky was blue without any cloud and cero wind , but I realized that the main reason was the low price , resulting in chaos for us that force me to pay double the original price in the last few hours before the activity begins.this practice is totally unacceptable and Viator is full aware of this situation.if you think that you’re getting a deal forthcoming you’ll end paying more than double price due to this practices.

And our flight location is cat valley not göreme or soganli some days our weather condition is not suitable for fly and the other valleys might fly so you probably fly in another valley that is why you paid double since their prices much expensive than us !

I booked this activity weeks in advance, considering the high demand for balloon rides in Cappadocia and the positive reviews. I paid in full and was expecting to receive pick-up information as promised, but heard absolutely nothing by the day of the activity. Despite trying to contact the operator through multiple channels (Viator, email, messages, calls, WhatsApp), no one responded.
Assuming the pick-up would be around 3:30–4:00 AM as activity said was starting at 4:00 AM, we waited outside our hotel, but no one ever showed up. After hours of waiting and trying to resolve the situation, we saw on the app—much later in the day—that the activity had been refunded. There was no prior communication, no apology, and no explanation from the operator about the cancellation.
We later spoke to hotel staff, who informed us that on days when the balloons don’t fly, the prices for the following day often triple. It seems that operators cancel bookings like ours to resell the tickets at a much higher price to last-minute buyers. This practice feels deceptive, especially when no one had the courtesy to inform us about the cancellation or offer an explanation.
We had traveled all day to get to Cappadocia and were eagerly looking forward to this activity. It’s beyond disappointing that no one had the decency to communicate with us. If you’re considering this experience, I highly recommend booking through your hotel or another local operator who can guarantee proper communication and timely refunds in case of any issues.
I hope I will actually receive the refund as promised, but this entire experience was unacceptable. Save your money and avoid this operator.

Very fun experience and guides were really engaging and fun throughout the ride. I think the only reason this is slightly inexpensive compared to rest is it's done outside goreme in cat valley but it was definitely worth it.

Pegas Balloons impressed me with their professionalism and organisation. I received a WhatsApp txt the evening before to confirm the pickup time and the van arrived on time. It rained a little at first, but when rain cleared they decided it would be safe fly and up we went! The pilot was great. I will say that the scenery and landscape of Cat Valley was not super impressive, but this was not Pegas' fault. They are very clear with the description of this tour that it's not in Goreme. It was still overall an enjoyable experience.
What impressed me most was how Pegas dealt with a bunch of noisy Russian girls in our group, who for some reason were trying to get the ride cancelled and a refund. Perhaps they thought this would be a Goreme balloon flight. They were even trying to campaign the rest of the group to get us to put pressure on the Pegas team to cancel the flight when actually the weather was perfect after the initial brief drizzle of rain. The rest of us didn't any part of their shenanigans and we were looking forward to the ride. The Pegas team dealt with them in a much nicer way than they deserved.

Fabulous experience ballooning above the Cat Valley with Pegas balloons.
They did exactly what it said on the tin, making ballooning in Cappadocia affordable for the family, and we had a great time. Very well organised, we were up for about 45 minutes, and the the driver (?) was so skilled, we were so low at times it felt we could touch the rocks, and then we went high to get some fantastic views. Watching the other couple of balloons below was fun too.

First: the ride itself is an absolutely amazing time for the value. There were 5 balloons total in the sky, which was great for us but if you want the tour with hundreds of balloons, this is not the one. There were 18 people total in the basket (including 2 operators) so it’s a bit cramped as you stand for an hour, but the views are indeed gorgeous.
The not so good: once we were on the ground the operators gave us “champagne” to celebrate the trip and then WOULD. NOT. LEAVE. until we tipped them. Literally stood there like we were in a standoff until they had enough cash. Completely ruined a beautiful morning.
Also, bring a jacket.

We felt very lonely in the air because we were only 2 very far away while we saw about forty in the mountains in the distance (by zooming x10 we could see them) see the photo is the black spots.
