Great trip, very knowledgeable guide, Christian. Saw howler monkeys, lots of cayman, black turtle, snake bird and lots of others. Everything very safe and plenty of time to take photos and soak it all in.

Great few touring paddling through the canals. It was raining quite hard so the wildlife were hiding a little, but we spotted Cayman, a turtle, monkeys and lots of birds. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We felt kayaking in shorts and t shirt was a better option than huddling down in a boat in ponchos.

3 hours kayaking is a lot unless you kayak regularly. It was too much for me - I am just an average 42 year old. I would have loved 2 hours. Guide was amazing. Tortuguero is amazing but it’s too long if you are not a regular kayaker or kinda athletic.

Christian, our guide, was knowledgeable and took time to point out so many things. We saw many different birds, sloth, monkey and cayman. Three and a half hours of kayaking in rain and sun and all of it was fabulous!

The booking and the contact with Tortuguero Adventures was quick and easy. Emanuel the owner made sure to explain the procedure of booking a ticket to the National Park. The tour took place early in the morning and they welcomed the group with tea and coffee and cookies. During the tour
Christian the guide took the time to explain about the geography and the wildlife of Tortoguero, he knew exactly where to look for the animals and was very open and informativ and answered all the questions I had. He himself had inspiring stories and I could quite quickly understand he really loves the park and the wildlife and enjoys what he is doing, working with people and educate them. Booking with Tortuguero Adventures is much much recommended, you won't regret it!

The kayaking was great. But our guide spoke. Mostly Spanish Because some of the participants were Spanish speakers. The English translation was not very good.

Regarding the language of the tour, our kayak tours are often shared experiences with international guests, and depending on the group composition, explanations may be given in both Spanish and English. We understand that in your case, the English explanations did not meet your expectations, and we sincerely apologize for that.

Jordan was very knowledgeable explaining the sightings and area. He was able to spot frogs, lizards, snakes, caiman, sloth, toucan.

Nous sommes allés voir la société la veille de l’activité. L’un de leur collaborateur nous a conseillé de faire du canoë plutôt que le kayak et que la différence de prix nous sera remboursé. Malgré déjà 6 relances, la société ne nous rembourse pas! Quel dommage de ne pas être honnête…

We are sincerely sorry that this situation caused frustration. However, we would like to clarify that Tortuguero Adventures always acts in good faith and has no interest in withholding a refund when it is due.
In this specific case, the refund was in fact issued, and it was processed approximately one month later, once the administrative process was completed. This delay can occur when service modifications are not immediately recorded and must be verified manually.
In situations like this, a refund can only be processed once it has been officially confirmed and administratively approved, which includes verifying the service change, the price difference, and the original payment method.
That said, we take this feedback very seriously. For any additional clarification, we invite guests to contact us directly via WhatsApp at +506 7187-5888 or by email, providing the date of the activity and the name under which the reservation was made.

Increíble paseo en Kayak por los canales de tortuguero. La experiencia ha sido una de las mejores de mi vida, visitamos diferentes cauces fluviales en busca de animales que encontramos exitosamente (mono aullador, araña y capuchino), además de innumerables aves como la garza tigre cuellinuda. El guía fue excelente, muy cercano y nos explicaba cualquier curiosidad sobre tortuguero y su rica fauna y flora. El kayak nos permitió vivir la experiencia de una forma más libre y salvaje, de verdad que merece la pena. Durante la excursión nos calló una buena tormenta tropical, por lo que vivimos una experiencia mucho más realista y refrescante. Una pasada.
Es algo obligatorio, no os lo penséis.

Wat een super ervaring! Onze ervaren gids wist de leuke plekjes en veel te vertellen. Zeker een aanrader, vooral omdat je met de kajak vrijwel overal heen mag.

Sie haben uns beim Ticketkauf für den Nationalpark geholfen und am nächsten Tag ging es dann los. Unserer Guide kannte sich mit der Tierwelt gut aus und so konnten wir schon nach kürzester Zeit Affen, diverse Vögel wie Aras, Tukan und Caimane etc. in der wunderschönen Natur entdecken. Mit dem Kajak ist es schön ruhig und man kann kleinere Kanäle befahren. Eine Tour nach 6.a.m. ist wegen der Hitze und Sonne nicht zu empfehlen. Toll, wäre noch ein organisierter günstiger Taxiservice, damit man nicht wie wir, noch 40 Minuten in den Ort laufen muss. 30 $ von einem unabhängigen Taxifahrer fanden wir völlig übertrieben.

Excelente experiencia amaneciendo en un entorno natural espectacular. El guía amable y entusiasta. Naturaleza por los cuatro costados. Asequible para personan sin ninguna experiencia previa. Agencia muy recomendable.
