We had a very disappointing experience with this tour. For context, we’ve been on the island for four days and have taken multiple taxis on the same roads without ever getting car sick. This was the only time we had an issue.
The main problem was the driving. It honestly felt like the guide did not know how to properly drive a manual car. The ride was extremely jerky, with constant harsh stopping, accelerating, and uneven shifting. It made the entire experience uncomfortable and quickly led to one of us becoming very nauseous, to the point of throwing up in her mouth. This has never happened to us before despite being on these roads all week.
Because of this, we ended up spending more time in the car than actually snorkeling, which completely defeated the purpose of the tour.
What made things worse was how the situation was handled. We clearly and politely asked to be taken back to our hotel, but the guide did not listen and instead kept asking if we wanted to stop somewhere. We repeatedly said no and had to ask multiple times before our request was finally acknowledged.
At that point, we were already feeling unwell and just wanted to get back safely. The lack of responsiveness and awareness made an already bad situation worse.
FYI: They refused a refund and didn’t even offer a partial one, so I had to contact AMEX.

On the day of the tour, several roads leading to the remote beach areas were under active construction due to ongoing underground utility work, creating rough and uneven driving conditions throughout parts of the route. Safety was always my priority while navigating these areas.
Throughout the experience, I also accommodated additional requests, including multiple photo stops and shopping stops along the way. When you mentioned not feeling well, I attempted to offer options to make the return more comfortable while heading back toward the hotel area.
Although a full refund was provided in good faith to resolve the situation, I regret that the experience did not meet your expectations.
I care deeply about creating safe, enjoyable, and memorable island experiences for my guests, and I appreciate all feedback as I continue improving future tours.

I booked a 4-hour tour with Sunny Day Adventures while we were staying on the island for a week over the holiday. It was a fabulous experience! Our guide, James, was knowledgeable, kind, and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. It was worth every penny spent and more. We were all incredibly thankful and would recommend this company without any hesitation!

The ground swells were unusually large so we couldn't snorkle and we were offered a full refund but we decided to go for it and do a land tour....so glad we did! It was a great day spent with Alicia, our wonderful and knowledgeable guide, who showed us the most beautiful sweeping vistas on the island. Such a great day! Thank you Alicia!

Alicia and James were fun companions and guides for a day of exploration and snorkeling and swimming on Tortola. They had the right combination of planning and flexibility, inviting us in to experience the island and ocean that they clearly love so much. You will not regret booking your experience with them.

Our tour guide was wonderful and very friendly. We saw some amazing places on the island and James was very happy to accommodate all of our wishes and even recommended some places. Snacks and drinks were great! For the price I was expecting some spectacular snorkeling, which did not happen. One beach was beautiful but nothing to see, the rest was too cloudy or too far to swim in the rough waters. I know the weather/water can not be controlled but sure was disappointing and I felt even if we were able to snorkel the wildlife is just not there to experience. If you like being able to choose your destinations, avoid the crowds and smaller group then this is definitely for you. If you truly enjoy snorkeling, you will be disappointed as there is not much to experience.

There definitely is great snorkeling on this tour once the seas are calm. We always give the option of cancellation if there is going to be rough weather, sometimes people don't mind and just enjoy secluded beach time. Thanks again for your business and we hope to see y'all again soon.

We had a great day on Tortola with James and Alisha. We visited four extraordinary beaches and getting to spend the day with two wonderful and knowledgeable locals made our experience especially memorable.

I went alone with Alisa. She went way out of her way to show me the beautiful island of Tortola. She then took me to a private spot and i snorkeled for an hour and a half. Beautiful reef with plenty of fish. She offered to take me to more snorkel spots but our ship was leaving too early. I highly recommend this tour. One of the best ones in 7 years

The entire tour was wonderful because of James our guide. We would give him a 10+ if we could. He is a local and his knowledge of the islands is remarkable as well as his people skills. We travel the world with private guides and we rarely do reviews but felt compelled to acknowledge James for being one of best in his industry.

Our hosts James and Alicia were amazing. Very knowledgeable about the island (locals). We basically saw the entire island from the comfort of their air conditioned Jeep. They had everything we needed for a perfect day. The beaches we went to were spectacular. For the longest time we were the only ones there. The guided snorkel was a great adventure. Lots of sea life. This was the highlight of our trip!!! It felt like spending the day with old friends. We will book again in the future!

The beaches we visited were not crowded and absolutely beautiful! The tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. We saw a good portion of the island in a comfortable relaxed private vehicle. He even brought snacks and drinks!!

We were surprised to be greeted by a lovely couple. James might look like a hippy well he probably is, and the most gentle and nicest hippie you could meet. Alicia a beautiful Spanish speaking lively person. We had a great tour and enjoyed every minute of it. It was worth being out of the crowd and enjoying our day at our pace. Well recommended.
