We are very thankful to get to know Georgi, who is the tour guide of this trip. He gave us a lot of insider-tipps and showed us all the places that we would like to visit. He has an in-depth understanding of the history, the religion and can help us taking extremly beautiful pictures. With his guide, we spent a very nice whole day and even enjoyed the next two days of visit in Kazbegi and back in Tiblis.

Nice trip, be wary of what is included

Our guide Omar was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations of places to eat and things to do around Tbilisi. He was very attentive and personable. We stopped for bathroom breaks and snacks along the way. The scenery was beautiful and the drive wasn’t bad at all with all the stops. The only thing I felt like I was tricked about was paying 60 GEL on the way to the church and on the way back down. The description said ALL transportation was included in the final price. It was disappointing this was not disclosed by the tour.

After reading many positive reviews i booked this package and it was worth each $. Our tour guide george was an amazing person and very fleunt in English. We visited all the places mentioned in the itenary, He made us feel like we are in our own country and guys he is an amazing photographer , i have the best pictures from this day trip. Highly recommended ❤❤

Worthwhile tour of Anauri and the Mountain Region (Gudauri and Kazbegi)

Levan picked us up at our hotel and gave us a full day of touring (11 hours). *We saw almost everything listed, though for unknown reasons we spent time at Gudauri ski resort rather than Kazbegi national park. *Although it was quite cold (on one stop we bought shawls and gloves), we were able to get to the top of Gudauri ski resort and look around, and even made it to Gergeti Trinity Church (it started snowing on our way back down). *Levan was a skillful driver, accommodating to our needs (we had brought lunch with us, so he took us more places rather than stop at a restaurant; at several points he offered to stop so we could take pictures or see a view) My only complaints: *While Levan didn't smoke in the car during our tour, he smoked every time we stopped and probably smoked in the car when not on tour, and the car reeked of smoke. *During breaks when he wasn't smoking Levan was on his smartphone, occasionally even texting while driving, though as I said, he was a very good driver. *When we went up to Gergeti Trinity Church (with a separate driver, whom Levan arranged for us), Levan went somewhere to eat, and when we returned to the car he was not there (the car was, but it was locked) so we had to wait in the freezing cold. FInally a local guide managed to track him down with the phone number on our ticket, and he reappeared from one of the restaurants some 15 minutes later, with no apology. Again, he gave us more than our fair share of time, it was just annoying to be waiting out in the cold.

Excellent trip covering lots of ground and lovely places, but quite expensive compared to what we saw advertised in Tbilisi, and unfortunately the Trinity Church was cancelled for snow, so there should be an alternative mentioned on the website because apparently this happens quite frequently.

The best part of the trip was our guide Nugo who went above and beyond to ensure we had a good trip. We felt safe and comfortable at all times. Unfortunately due to bad weather the road to Kazbegi was closed and we spent more time in Gudauri instead. All things considered it was a great day out and well worth the time spent on the long drive.
