We did a private tour so the tour guide, Hibiscus, adjusted the schedule to meet our needs. She was very prompt and because she had grown up on the islands, she was the best tour guide I have experienced in many different city tours. If you can get her you will not be disappointed. They take you past many beautiful views and you get out at several sites.

There's time for a quick stop to swim OR stop for lunch (The Windmill has good food, staff and a fantastic view from a high peak).

Conveniently arranged and informative. One drawback was we were told "this is your four hours, tell me how you want to spend it". Not knowing the island or doing any pre-research, limited our preferences to share and shape out tour. Guide did a nice job.

They do offer our guest at the beginning of the tour, 2 options.
Option 1 • to remain with the advertised template. Option 2 • to make adjustments or customized their tour, as some have been here before and would like to skip a beach that they have been here before to and explore and visit new alternative options.
These options give our guests control to enjoy St. John to the fullest within their time.
We do value your feedback and are happy to read that you did enjoy your tour with Ron and that it was informative.
Too expensive for what you get. Don’t go private. Look for some sharing that is not too many people.

Thank you Kantenwein for your honest review! Yes, private tours are priced differently than group tours as it allows you one on one communication with your tour guide. There is also the benefit to explore at your own pace and places of choice with your four hours of time. Many choose to stay with the advertised template. T
The tour of your choice gave both the history and beach. Our visitors get to stop and enjoy one beach for 2 hours or two beaches for 45 minutes to an hour each depending on your time spent with the history. This is the benefit of being private. You choose.
Private tours avoids conflicts as has been experienced with group tours; such as to when to leave and what beaches to visit. When it's private, it's all about you and your group. We do thank you for using our services and appreciate the your feedback.
Great way to see the park without having to rent a car and worry about parking at the different beach locations.

This is a good way to see St John and learn about St John with a limited amount of time. Ron is a local guide. He took us all around. We learned a lot about the people, the land & it's history. We knew where to go back after we finished the tour.
I would recommend this tour.
Ron was super nice. He made stops not scheduled to get drinks & pet & feed wild animals.
He took pictures for1 us as a family.

Our tour guide, Hibiscus, was so sweet, humble and welcoming and she was very professional, knowledgeable and well-spoken. She made the St John Island tour so enjoyable. We saw the sugar plantation remains, several beaches, multiple sights, picture taking places, and a lot of animals like donkeys, goats, chickens, mongoose, and iguanas. We were able to swim, sunbathe, relax and snorkel at two different beautiful beaches. It was nice having the entire open air tour bus to ourselves for our private party of 4. We could leave spots when we were ready. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. A must do in my opinion.

This was an amazing tour! We were a group of five ladies on a birthday trip. Our tour guide was friendly, professional, and provided valuable insight into life on the island and allowed us adequate time to enjoy each stop. This tour is worth every penny!!!

Hibiscus was an amazing tour guide who folded in historical information along with facts about the local flora and fauna. We visited this beautiful old sugar plantation with the most gorgeous view, and got to swim in Maho Bay/hang out at Maho Crossroads. Everyone from age 11 to 70 loved the Maho Crossroads. There were of course also beautiful views. We really felt like the excursion accommodated our family and our needs and our guide was so personable! I cannot recommend this enough!
