- Ferry tickets to and from St. John are not included in this tour's cost and are available for purchase at the dock. Roundtrip tickets costs $16.30 per person.

- At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time.
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required. This tour operates with a minimum of 4 guests. Cancellation notice will be given 24 hours in advance
- Before getting in the vehicle after your beach time, make sure you're clean of sand and wearing dry clothes.

Great beach! Definitely rent snorkel gear! Just be alert by port and ask for Great exploration tours to the taxi drivers! Make sure to have cash for tips! Most beautiful beach !!

The beach was beautiful. Honestly all the taxi driver does is take you to the beach and pick you up later. You are better off getting a taxi from your hotel and then a taxi back. The cost is much much less. You can rent chairs for $10 at the beach and there is a drink and food shack.

Trunk Bay snorkeling. We did not do the island tour, as didn't feel there would be enough time to snorkel the beautiful blue waters of Trunk Bay. The tour description needs to be more specific with what is included with the tour, as thought there would be a guide.

Just all around shady experience. Upon arriving to the island, had the driver hustle more people for the drive for at least 30 minutes. Super uncomfortable to sit there and wonder when he will feel like taking us to the beach. Asked him when we are heading to the beach more than once and he was very rude about it (apparently I had no right to know how long he plans on having us chill on the street). Note I had a child with me. Only get 2h on the beach.
The weather was bad for several days so you could not snorkel, but no one mentioned that until we got there. Really could have done the same thing on my own for less than a quarter of the price. You don't actually have a guide. Not sure why that is advertised as a part of the experience. So in a nutshell avoid the drama. There is nothing this experience offers that you can't do better on your own.

The cab driver was at 'the Windmill' at 8:00 for an 8:30 departure. The instructions to get to the Windmill were erroneous. The Windmill is inside the shopping area at Crowne Bay. Not across the street. 30 minutes is way too short of a connection time to meet the 9:00 am ferry. 45 minutes should be the minimum connection time. (We ended up with literally 90 seconds to spare.) Also, on the St. John's side, the taxi driver left before all passengers were off the ferry. We had to call him back. Using 'Great Exploration Tours' as a sub-contracted carrier should be reviewed carefully. Our pier to Red Hook cab driver said he had made mention of this short connection time in the past, but got nowhere in having this effectively addressed. Although the driver warned us of the possible misconnect, and given that it was not his fault, I place fault squarely on the owners of this lack of communication / understanding. This experience ended up being quite stressful, and this should not have been.

Just to clarify, which was not mentioned in your review. We received an email asking for further information on meet up point and responded to the request. At Great Exploration Tours, we believe in an efficient customer services, always there to reply to our clients’ concerns. We make sure we offer constant communication that exceeds expectations. We noted that our representative Shelley contacted your group to clear up any misunderstanding with the meet up location a week prior to your tour, we were told that any misunderstanding were cleared-up at that time. Additionally, we followed -up with an email to confirm understanding of meet-up location. Finally, tour instructions for the meet-up location have been revised, for better clarity. As for the drivers departure time at 8:30. The drivers have input in departure times, the company values drivers input to ensure a pleasurable and stress free experience for our clients. As a company will keep working relentlessly to offer all our customers the best experiences.

This half day tour was spectacular!! We had a guide, Hamlet, who picked us up from our hotel on time and pick up the next few passengers from their hotel. He explained how we would get on the St. John Ferry and there would be another guide, Kenneth, who would pick us up upon arriving. Kenneth was wonderful and showed us the ruins of an old sugarcane plantation and stopped a few times on the side of the road to let us take pictures and take pictures of us as well. He explained a lot about St. John and it's history and then dropped us off at Trunk Bay were we had over three hours to enjoy the beach and snorkel away. It was such an amazing experience and fun and easy! I highly recommend doing this if you have time!

We had an amazing time at Trunk Bay! We were met at the windmill at the cruise port in St. Thomas and were taken to a ferry paid by Viator. Once off the ferry, we were met by Kenneth who took us to Trunk Bay. It was wonderful! Not crowded at all and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We got to spend 2 hours there and were picked up by Kenneth and taken back to the ferry. He pulled over several times for amazing photo ops on the way. Once off the ferry, were were met by Hector who took us back to the cruise port. We were back in time to do some shopping before boarding the ship. The only downside was there was no food/beverage service yet on Trunk Bay because of Irma. But, I would go again in a heartbeat!

I missed this tour as I was not aware the island is an hour ahead of ship time. Another tour operator called to ask if I could grab a cab to catch up but the person on the phone was very defensive saying repeatedly it was our fault for no-showing and that they tried to contact us by text. I took full responsibility for the mistake and never once blamed them. I was only trying to catch up. However, the company cannot assume everyone has access to a cell phone especially when traveling. She said it was my responsibility to contact the tour operator ahead of traveling. Which I did, BUT GOT NO REPLY to my email. I guess I should have paid for the international cell call.
We ended up jumping on a local Viator tour of St. Thomas. QUEEN MARION saved the day! She gave great tour, took us to the beach at the end and came back promptly at the present arranged time and took us too the ship.
