We had a great adventure with our guide Kai on Sunday, May 4. We had an ideal weather day for our excursion. Kai equipped us with the necessary gear (life jackets, snorkel masks and fins, paddles and kayak. We followed him from Cruz Bay to Scots Beach where we snorkled and saw lots of sea turtles, stingrays and schools of fish. The experience was well worth the price. Kai was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about St. John, pointing out various landmarks along the way. We couldn’t have asked for better. He took lots of pictures of us as we kayaked so we would have them as keepsakes.
Everybody should be aware that the kayak trip was not easy. The 4,of us are very active, and found the current on the way out was pretty strong, so we worked hard. It was probably 30 minutes of paddling from start to finish on the way out. Coming back was a little easier going. But the effort is worth it because the final destination is a beautiful secluded beach that we had all to ourselves. And the snorkeling was great! Many thanks to Kai!!

Kenny was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable, showed us a lot of different fish. The whole trip was a lot of fun. Definitely would recommend and do again.

Was a great experience! Family had a wonderful time snorkeling with turtles and hearing about the island history. Definitely recommend this tour!!

It’s a lot of work but totally worth it!! Patrick was awesome and super knowledgeable about the sea life/island. We saw turtles, rays, puffer fish, sea urchins, a lobster and a zillion fish. Kids 10, 12 and 13 loved it and so did the adults!

Our trip was cancelled last minute. Still waiting for a refund. The company was apologetic, but ruined our last day.

The guides were a great resource. They had some interesting stories about the island and had an amazing level of knowledge of the local fish.

Andrew was a fantastic guide. He is well versed in St John and was very safety conscious but funny. He was able to identify every fish we saw while snorkeling (and we saw lots of them) and brought up a few animals for us to hold. Jake was new to the outfit but very friendly and also kept a close eye on us. We also saw turtles, an octopus and a moray eel. The cay was only accessible by boat so was very quiet. My only cautions: the kayaking was pretty long and tiring to get out to the cay. One couple turned around pretty quickly (escorted by Jake). The way back was easier. It also went longer than advertised - until 1 pm. It was not a problem at all, just wanted everyone to be aware to allow extra time. All in all it was very fun and I highly recommend.

We had such a great experience on our kayak and snorkel tour. Our guides Jay and Kai were so knowledgable, so funny, and were doing THE WORK to show us everything that they could on this short trip. I got to hold a couple of sea creatures that they found and it was EPIC. Kai even gave us his waterproof speaker for the kayak journey "for the vibes" and it rocked. 10/10 recommend these guys. It was a super last minute decision to book it on one of our free days and it was 1000% worth it.

Jay was a wonderful guide. We had just four of us on our excursion and he was able to give us lots of information about the island. He dove down to show us lots of sea creatures and moved at the pace of the party. Definitely recommend!

Save the day JAY is our guide. Super friendly, flexible, chill, experienced guy who knows the exact right spot to snorkeling and kayaking. It was my first time kayaking and my first time snorkeling, Jay was patient and gave instructions throughly, no surprises, he made sure it was my best day ever. The whole experience was amazing with Jay's introduction to the history of the bay, finding and showing us interesting ocean creatures, and many dad jokes. Thanks Jay, you saved our day.

Great day. Best if you have someone strong to help paddle but everyone was able to get there and back. Watch a YouTube video on kayaking if you have never done it before.

Had kayak trip booked for afternoon. Tour guide at Arawak asked us to reschedule for next morning which we did even though we planned our day around it. The next morning we are waiting outside the tour guides building and he calls me to reschedule again which we declined to do. Told me he would refund my money which he didn't. Had to go through my bank to have it resolved. Stay away from Arawak in St Johns USVI.

It was such a good time! Our guide and the whole experience was worth the money and time. So many things to do on this beautiful island but I will never forget swimming with sea turtles and stingrays!

Our guide was late, couldn’t find keys to office, at the beach he helped us all get in our kayak, then as he was getting on to his kayak he fell
This guy was so stoned. The participants all looked at each other, and wondered if we should report him. So after thinking about it for a couple months now I’m going to send this in

Wonderful experience. It took about 30 minutes to paddle out to the beach where we went snorkeling. The beach had very few people so snorkeling was peaceful. Got to see sea turtles and lots of fish near the reef area. Guides were very friendly. The operator gave us clear instructions about parking in the downtown Cruz Bay Area which was helpful.

We kayaked out for about 30 minutes to Caneel Bay, which was easy in calm waters. Snorkeling was great — saw turtles, a stingray, some parrotfish, pufferfish, sea urchins, and a wide variety of other fish. Then, kayaked back. A little over three hours all in. Would recommend to anyone with kids over 10’ish. Our guide, Scott, shared some good stories about the surrounding islands and was a great guy. Would do this one again if we come back.

The best way to see St. John and USVI NPS! It was a long day, but incredible. Our guide was awesome, helpful and informative. He took us to a boat access only beach with incredible snorkeling. Would highly recommend.

Great experience- my middle school
girls loved it. Knowledgeable guides and gorgeous scenery to a secluded beach.
Christy_C, Apr 2025
Kayaking was great fun. The beach selected because of wind and current was beautiful the snorkeling was just okay.

Andrew and Kai were a blast! Fun and informative. Answered all our ”what’s that” and the “how much farther” questions 😉 definitely going to book another trip on our next vacation.
Katie_P, Apr 2025
We had an amazing time! Kai and Andrew were so good with our group, which included 4 kids from 4-13 and adults. Would definitely recommend!
Thomas_C, Mar 2025
We spent about 3.5 hours out, it was incredible and our guide didn’t pressure us to stay in the water when we were tired. He let us go at our own pace and did an amazing job of showing us around the reef
Patricia_S, Mar 2025
This was the highlight of our trip! Michelle was knowledgable and made everyone feel comfortable while kayaking. The paddle was beautiful and the guided snorkeling was truly incredible. We saw many turtles (including a baby and one with a sucker fish on its back) and from safe distances, a sting ray and barracuda! And also learned about the many multi-colored fish we saw in the reefs! Highly recommend this tour!

Our guide, Scott, did an amazing job making sure we were comfortable, had what we needed and were safe. He was patient, funny and had some great stories about the water life as well as,the area. He made the experience so much fun! We kayaked out to a beach area and had a guide swim with us as Scott was in kayak nearby. We ended up seeing a small sea turtle , spotted manta ray, parrot fish along with many other beautiful fish and coral. It was well worth the money and made for a great day!!
Jane_Z, Jan 2025
Scotty made this experience 5 star with his kindness, attentiveness and warm, humorous personality. We felt safe and cared for. We saw turtles, a small manta ray and a rainbow of colored fish. It was a memorable experience.

Kayaking to Solomon Beach and snorkeling to Honeymoon Beach was terrific. We were a three generation family group of 10 and Greg, our guide, was very attentive towards all, particularly the grandma in the group, making sure we were safe and pointing out the gorgeous underwater sites. What a treat to swim amongst beautiful fish, coral, sea turtles and a stingray. Highly recommend!
Allison_B, Oct 2024
We had an incredible time, excursion of a lifetime! Scotty was a great tour guide with a wealth of knowledge of St.John. We saw turtles, schools of fish, jellyfish and a crab inside of a conch shell. 10/10 recommend this excursion if your in St.John!
Melissa_P, Jul 2024
Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to find starfish and shrimp we could touch while snorkeling. We were able to see sea turtles and a crazy amount of other beautiful sea life and tropical fish. Kayaking was a good work out and all such a fun adventure!
