Good transfer from Sarande to Durres

Terrible experience from start to finish

I booked with Joel Travel through Viator and then was unable to get in contact with them through Viator for months leading up to the booking. I eventually contacted them on WhatsApp and the day before the booking they replied to inform me that there was not enough people for the shuttle to go ahead, so it would be cancelled. This would have left us more or less stranded, so we asked if we could pay for another ticket to meet the minimum 3 people for the shuttle. The lady I arranged this with was very polite and helpful, but that was the only positive from this experience. We were then picked up the next day, not in any kind of recognisable company vehicle, but in a random car with a man who did not identify himself. He handed us his phone and it was the last from the office who told us to contact her with any issues throughout the trip. The next 4.5 hours in the car was horrible. The man drove so recklessly, it was frightening. We had spent several weeks in the balkans by this point and this was not normal Balkan driving. Other cars were flashing their lights and honking at our driver. He would overtake into oncoming traffic, forcing the car coming the other way to swerve to the very outside of their lane to make room for us. It was very unsafe and very unprofessional and I would advise that no one else makes the mistake of booking through this company.

Airport transfer -don’t book!

Received an email on the morning I was due to travel saying that the transfer was being refunded ‘at my request’ when I had not requested the refund and was relying on the transfer to get to the airport on time. No further explanation received. Appalling service.

Uncomfortable ride

We ordered a minivan to meet us at the airport since we read that this was supposed to be a much more comfortable option rather than a normal taxi. the driver was 1 hour late, and we were picked up in a normal taxi rather than a minivan that we ordered. In the taxi there was another person in the frontseat, we also picked up another one 15 min later, so this resulted in a very uncomfortable and tight 4,5 hour tight taxiride.

I believe it’s a very expensive service for what we got. We were picked up by a very old car . The driver was on the phone while driving which is extremely dangerous!

Habe den Transfer von Tirana nach Ksamil gebucht. Lief problemlos, Auto war in Ordnung. Transfer von ksamil zurück nach Tirana wurde einfach storniert und man hätte mir nicht mal Bescheid gegeben wenn ich nicht selbst nachgefragt hätte! Ich hatte mich auf die Buchung verlassen. Abends um 5:30 Uhr wurde mir gesagt das der Transfer am nächsten morgen nicht statt findet. Absolut nicht empfehlenswert!! Total überteuert und nicht schneller als mit dem Bus! Auf keinen Fall buchen!

Un traslado horrible

Para empezar, nos recoge un vehículo sin aire acondicionado (mes de julio, 35º C) en el hotel de Tirana, sin identificar el vehículo, el conductor desconocía el nombre del pasajero a trasladar y el nombre de la empresa que hacía el traslado. Nos lleva durante media hora por Tirana, recogiendo otros pasajeros. A la media hora, nos deja en las afueras de Tirana, junto a una gasolinera, para cambiar de vehículo. Un taxi con mas de 600.000 km, con todas las luces de avería encendidas en el cuadro. Este taxi dedica 45 minutos en recoger paquetes por toda Tirana, hasta el punto que llena el maletero de paquetes sueltos por encima de nuestras cabezas, con el consiguiente peligro para nuestra seguridad. A los 45 minutos se detiene en las afueras de Tirana para montar a otros dos hombres, amigos del taxista. Mas de 4 horas en un coche, con 5 ocupantes sin espacio para mover los brazos y el conductor no hablaba ni una palabra en inglés. El conductor, un kamikaze de la carretera, adelanta por línea continua, con camiones de frente, sin visibilidad, en un coche que en España ya llevaría años en un desguace. El desplazamiento mas horrible y deplorable que jamás he realizado. Desaconsejo absolutamente esta empresa.
