Dave gave us the best city food experience we've had in years. Knowledgeable, passionate, friendly, and professional. One of the very best tours we've enjoyed in decades.

David was a fabulous guide with a wealth of local knowledge. He was friendly and took joy in sharing the history and background of the foods we tried.
This is a great tour for people who want an authentic Santiago experience with food, history and a native Chilean guide who spoke English well.

Saw the city in a different light. Took ride in an incredible subway system to a huge flea market and sanoled traditional food. Our guide David was incredible.

Foods the locals eat and enjoy. David was informative and very helpful. Tasty local food and walking tour.

David was a great guide. We enjoyed delicious local food and great conversation. He is a really nice fellow.

This was exactly what we needed after an overnight flight. Maycken served as a translator, tour guide, and all around nice guy to spend an afternoon with. He paid close attention to what we were interested and kept the day flexible and fun.

We really enjoyed our food tour with David. Great guide!! He even met us at our hotel to ensure we could start the tour with ease. He took us to spots we wouldn’t find otherwise and shared helpful information about the city (and subway!). We finished the tour with full stomachs!
Kyle_M, Mar 2026
David our guide blended a deep knowledge of Chilean history with knowledge of Santiago and great, safe, hole in the wall restaurants to sample Santiago staple foods.
Michael_C, Mar 2026
Local casual food with some history sprinkled in Nice collection of central city sights. Guide, Maria, is engaging .

It was so happy I took this tour. Luciano was great! He spoke English well We walked together through the city center . He shared stories about the city, the new government and the special local spots for local treats. I enjoyed my 3 hours with him !
bjreimann, Feb 2026
Great introduction to the major places and foods of Chile. Luciano was great- kind and informative! Would recommend!

Arrive hungry. You walk through many of the sights of central Santiago and sample several local dishes, tailored to your personal preferences. Food you may never find on your own.
Highly Recommended

Do not book this tour. I am not even sure where the 5 star reviews came from/ It was incredibly unorganized. First of all they shouldn’t even allow you to book on a Sunday because apparently everything is closed on Sunday’s ? Also it felt like there was no plan. The guide was decided where to go on the spot- no connections to any local places, no history of the food or history of the city. Normally on a food tour you get samples (everyone gets their own) even if they are smaller in size. The guides suggested we share which is crazy to share a beverage with a stranger? One of the guides even took a sip from my sister in laws drink (she asked but still so strange). We walked through the most disgusting parts of the city which is probably why we had a second guide with us for safety. It was daylight and Santiago is pretty safe why were we walking through random streets. Additionally the guide continued to lie to us. She asked us to share our drinks with other guests on the tour saying we would get too drunk but finally after we followed up several times she said it was because of budget constraints. If that’s the case we shouldn’t have made the stop.
It’s not just the guides fault rather it’s the company for not creating any sort of itinerary for our guide. In short, don’t book and waste your time or money.

Very flexible with food choices. A slow paced walk that included seeing some of Santiago's parks and monuments. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly.
Richard_B, Feb 2026
If you want to try local food, this is the tour for you … and there is plenty of it! Nothing fancy, just what the average Santiago Chilean eats. Plus, our excellent tour guide, David, threw in some local history and culture as we walked around. David answered all of our questions happily, expanding on them to give us more information and context. We would definitely recommend this tour!
chris_o, Feb 2026
Great day out on our tour - guide was authentic and helpful with our questions. A variety of unique dishes sampled.
Jerry_P, Feb 2026
Had a great tour with Luciano! I enjoyed getting off the beaten path and eating where Santiagans eat.
Rach_H, Feb 2026
Enjoyable tour with David. Communication was great, excellent food choices to suit our preferences and a fantastic way to orientate to the central city with a friendly guide.

We had one day in Santiago and booked the Food Tour in advance. The day before the tour, Carolina changed the meeting time, then 25 minutes before meeting she canceled saying she was sick.
The Tours operator Alex was able to find us a last minute Guide, who was able to meet us two hours later.
Maria was amazing, giving personal and cultural information along with information and history on the food and neighborhoods.
We cannot give an accurate rating for the food because several other places on the regular tour were already closed and she also wanted to keep us in safer neighborhoods.
We especially enjoyed the empanadas and traditional peach drink. We had great fun eating the Completo Italiano. Thank you again, Maria!!

We had great food. We learned about pastel de choclo. David was really responsive to what we wanted. When we weren't able to eat any more food, he took us to find lapis jewelry.

This street food tour in Santiago was great. From the first stop to the last bite, everything was delicious, authentic, and thoughtfully curated. Our guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about Chilean food and culture.
We tasted a great variety of local specialties while learning the stories behind them, from traditional favorites to unexpected hidden gems we never would have found on our own. The tour felt relaxed, fun, and very well paced, with just the right mix of food, history, and local insight.
If you want to experience Santiago like a local and eat incredibly well while doing it, this tour is a must. Come hungry—you won’t leave disappointed!

David is unbelievable! He took into account what we wanted to see, eat, drink, and do! He made sure we had a fabulous time.
I highly recommend this tour-and ask for David!

Caroline is an incredible guide, full of knowledge, context, and history. This was more like a cultural immersion through the lens of Chilean gastronomy. But don't think it's so serious! It was fun and fascinating, too!!
Craig_K, Dec 2025
A great time with Caroline, learned a lot about the city during our time! A very nice walk around, a great way to see part of the beautiful city.
Ankit_T, Dec 2025
David is your local friend and not a ‘tour guide’. Spending time with David exploring the city, enjoying the food, soaking in the vibe and exploring the architecture feels like meeting a friend in a new city. David made us try all the unique food that makes Chile, CHILE and gave us just the right amount of information about the city, people and culture. We were known as the couple that all knew all about chile in the rest of trip because of our time with David. Every time someone would ask us “Do you know this or Have you tried this?” We had our hands up because of David. David is super flexible and works with you on shaping the itinerary the way you want it, just like your buddy would.
Pro Tip: Book this experience on your day one to get a crash course immersive experience on the culture of Chile.
Alex_W, Dec 2025
David took us to some great places in the city center to try some local street foods. We walked/sat around while having some great conversation. Our bellies got full! He gave us a great tour of city center while it was our first full day here.
Daphne_G, Dec 2025
Our tour was on a Sunday and a lot of businesses are closed so David took us to the flea market. The food was excellent and we loved touring the flea market.
Carey, Dec 2025
Bring your own water as the restaurants do not provide free water, only bottled. I'm adding another sentence here to meet the ridiculous requirement of 100 minimum characters.
cathya713, Nov 2025
David, our guide, was excellent. He was k owledgeabk about the history of Santiago and Chile, and the food stops had excellent food and a good representation of Chile.
Lorraine_H, Nov 2025
Fernando is a very nice young man, however he knew nothing about the sites or history. He did not follow the itinerary as described. I am disabled and he did everything in his power to accommodate me since walking was very challenging. We ate hotdogs typical Italian mayo ketchup and avocado. We had an empanada from a local stand and he introduced us to a native drink which we did not like. It wasn’t until a different tour that we had the same drink and loved it. So our assumption is that his chosen spot was not good. We gave him a 20% tip because he was really trying. I want the owner of the tour group to call me to discuss other facets of our experience
