The food tour was amazing with David. He showed us some of the few known places and hidden gems of the most charming areas in Santiago. Coupled with historical information and delicious food made our time in the city a great experience. We would highly recommend this food tour!

The guide was very attentive and pays attention to your needs. And I cannot recommend him enough. Thank you so much!
Don't eat before so you can enjoy everything on offer . Our guide David was very informative and passionate about everything in Santiago
The food tour was a fantastic experience from beginning to end! Our tour guide Luciano did an excellent job taking us to several different food spots, including the food market, where we had an amazing huge fried fish that literally melted in your mouth, served with fresh French fries. Everything was delicious!
What made the tour even better was that Luciano also provided a history tour of the area, pointing out and explaining the history behind several of the surrounding buildings. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience enjoyable.
Luciano even went above and beyond by allowing me to use his Wi-Fi when I didn’t have access to Wi-Fi and needed to coordinate an Uber. That small gesture really showed how accommodating and helpful he was.
Overall, it was an amazing tour and a great way to experience the local food, culture, and history. Definitely a must-do if you’re visiting the area!
Quite a bit of walking but otherwise great experience. Our guide Jean spoke excellent English, was friendly and very informative about the food and the sights we saw. He did a wonderful job and would highly recommend him.
Jean Seraphin was INCREDIBLE! With his insane wealth of knowledge, and an unmatched personality, Jean was a delight of a tour guide and overall wonderful human being. He was BEYOND flexible and patient with us after all of the hiccups we presented. We had done a guided tour the day before so he adapted his tour to limit our double dipping into activities and places we had already done. One of our littles is very picky, so he went out of his way to get her some fruit while the rest of us tried the delicious empanadas. Finally, we had a potential medical emergency with another one of our members and had to completely derail the last bit of the tour, which Jean handled with such immense grace. I would absolutely recommend this tour and more specifically, Jean.
They were very resourceful and knowledgeable very knowledgeable about Expat, Expat, and affordability
Luciano greeted us on time and took us to several restaurants and open markets where we were able to try many different foods: typical sanguches, empanadas de pino & queso, jugos de frambuesa & maracuya, and chorrillana. He took us to places where you pretty much only see local chilenos, and those are always the best places. Luciano even helped us find some sweets and souvenirs to take home.
During the tour, he pointed out places of interest, shared Chilean history, and took an interest in getting to know us. He also made sure that we knew exactly how to get back to our place. We would highly recommend this tour!
Would highly recommend this experience on your first day in Santiago! It allowed us to see parts of Chile from a local and experience his best recommendations in food!
This is everything! From food to politics to history- David takes you on a Santiago ride you won’t forget. It’s one of the best tours I’ve ever taken.
What a wonderful experience of the flavors of Chile by our guide, David! He was so kind and smart and full of knowledge and personable as well. And we certainly were filled with food at the end of our tour. Highly recommend!
Great stops across the city and David was a fun guide. We went to restaurants and drink stands and even a candy store.
David was fantastic, he was early and what out of his way to ensure I had a culturally grounded experience. We walked over 12k steps around Santiago and earned every bit of tasty food. David has a passion for his services, and speaks great English and Spanish. Highly recommended.
This was a wonderful experience! We enjoyed each food stop especially the empanadas. Our guide David took incredible care of us.
David was a super guide. Growing up in this area, he really gave us a behind-the-scenes look at various food places.
He also helped us with a couple of minor personal things
Lovely time spent with David. We tried lots of different food, and it was our introduction to eating in the city. Even if you’re only in Santiago for one day I recommend this tour! In between restaurants we walked around the city center (so you get some culture with the tour as well!).
This was a great experience. Could not be a better guide than David. He was very knowledgeable about all things related to Chile. Highly recommend this tour and working with David!
Food was authentic and tasty and guide very knowledgeable and energetic. Lots of great information, view points and conversation.
As the title says, if this had been described as a walking city tour with food stops, this would have been a five star review. However, as described, this is not a food tour in my opinion. We tried 4 things in the 3 hours for which we paid £47 per person (April 2026) - empanada pino, Mote con huesillo (drink), a completo (hotdog) and a terremoto (drink).
That said, our tour guide Maria was delightful and she gave us many insights into the city that we otherwise would not have known - she showed us sights and walked us through different areas and parks we would likely have not explored by ourselves. She also explained that the foods listed in the tour description are out of season which is fair but should have been communicated before we booked the tour.
So this review is not a reflection on our guide who was great...but more on the description of what we paid for and expected vs. what we got.
This was a fantastic food tour. We were provided with clear meeting instructions ahead of time and any possible allergies were also discussed.
The tour itself was informative about the area and local culture. The food is full portions, not small bites. Be prepared for this as it is all delicious and easy to get full.
I would do this tour again!
Fun food tour and intro to Santiago! Our tour guide was great and answered all of our crazy questions! We learned about coffee with legs and had a Chilean hot dog.
Decent food tour! There were a total of 4 people on the tour and the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We stopped a total of 4 places, trying 4 items.
We appreciated that the guide pivoted our tour when it began to rain quite heavily. This food tour however, was a bit different than other tours we have done in the past since we got a small number of rather large food items. On our tour we tried:
- a beverage from a street vendor of sweet tea with cooked wheat and dried peaches (very tasty!)
- a hot dog (massive!)
- an empanada (quite large!)
- a piscola (it had begun raining so many of the food shops had closed and everybody was quite full from the large food items)
I would have preferred to have smaller portions of the items (other tours I have been on a single item might be purchased and cut into smaller pieces for trying) and tried more items, but it was still an enjoyable tour.
The guide didn't teach us much about the history of Chilean food. We spent about a third of the time touring churches and landmarks.

Really enjoyed this experience! David was a great and funny guide and we learned a lot about Chilean food and Santiago. Plenty of food included, we couldn't even finish it all! All food was very tasty and the tour was customised to our likes. Perfect Monday activity when a lot of the tourist atttactions are closed!
I had a good time with this tour, the guide was funny , entertaining, comical, and very knowledgeable about his city. I especially would recommend this tour. It is very simple and quick way of getting a grasp of the city, eating some traditional food, having. A drink.
Brilliant food tour with David. He was fantastic and showed us both food places and took us around the main sites in Santiago. Highly recommend.
David was a fabulous guide with a wealth of local knowledge. He was friendly and took joy in sharing the history and background of the foods we tried.
This is a great tour for people who want an authentic Santiago experience with food, history and a native Chilean guide who spoke English well.
Dave gave us the best city food experience we've had in years. Knowledgeable, passionate, friendly, and professional. One of the very best tours we've enjoyed in decades.
Saw the city in a different light. Took ride in an incredible subway system to a huge flea market and sanoled traditional food. Our guide David was incredible.
Foods the locals eat and enjoy. David was informative and very helpful. Tasty local food and walking tour.
David was a great guide. We enjoyed delicious local food and great conversation. He is a really nice fellow.
