Mehmet was a knowledgeable guide that did his best to show the best of South East turkey in the time we had. He has a degree in Theology and was able to explain a lot of the religious motifs, relationships, practices that we saw in the heritage sites. We engaged in conversations around Islam, regional geopolitics, history and Turkeys role in the region. He is very knowledgeable about the local area as he grew up in Vans and has extensive relationships in the region. I was worried about safety in the region, but I found it to be safe. I recommend Mehmet as a guide and to work with him to craft a tour that meets your preferences. He works hard and will do his best to meet your needs.
