I had an amazing day touring Copán, Honduras with Kerim and can’t recommend him highly enough. From the beginning, everything felt relaxed, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable.
Kerim is an excellent tour guide—super knowledgeable, kind, and clearly proud of Honduras, its people, and its history. He shared stories and context throughout the day that made the experience feel meaningful, not rushed or scripted. He also took us to great local places for food and always made sure everyone was comfortable.
He’s a very safe and attentive driver, and the pace of the day was perfect—never rushed, never stressful. What really stood out, though, were the little moments where he went above and beyond. On the drive back to the city, I mentioned I loved tamales. Without hesitation, Kerim soon pulled over, found a spot, and we all sat down and enjoyed tamales together. It was such a small thing, but it made the day feel personal and special.
It truly was an incredible experience. If you ever get the chance to tour with Kerim, I highly recommend taking it—you’ll be in great hands and have a wonderful day.

Thank you so much Ms. M, for sharing your experience at Copán! It was truly a pleasure to spend the day with you and show you a place that means so much to our history and culture here in Honduras. I’m glad the pace felt relaxed and enjoyable—my goal is always to make sure guests feel comfortable while still discovering the richness of our traditions and stories.
I especially loved that moment with the tamales on the way back; those little details are what make each trip unique, and I’m happy it added something special to your day. Your kind words about my guiding and driving mean a lot, and I’m grateful you felt cared for throughout the journey.
On behalf of iCatracho Tours, thank you for trusting me to share Copán with you. I hope you’ll come back to explore more of Honduras—there’s so much more to discover, and I’d be honored to guide you again.
Warm regards.

Kerim is amazing! I cannot recommend him or any of his travel tours enough. I booked this tour with him and immediately booked another with him for the following day. He’s very kind and knowledgeable. He makes you feel safe and the tours are no more than 4 people so you have a chance to meet some like minded individuals, if you’re lucky like I was. (Shoutout to Kinna and Michelle!) As a young black woman and solo traveler I felt very safe. Kerim is a very proud Honduran and wants to show his guests the best of what his country has. I’m so grateful I stumbled upon his tours. I wish I were staying a few more days to do other tours with him. Copan was great. We had breakfast on our way there and Kerim told us about the history of the place. Then he handed us off to a tour guide at the ruins where we paid our entry fees and saw the ruins and tunnels. Then we went to a cafe and got some desserts and nice drinks. We opted not to do the Macaws because we saw them at the ruins. We did go to a tea and chocolate place that gave us nice samples of tea before heading back to San Pedro and getting tamales on the way. I highly recommend Kerim and his tours.

Kerim is more than a tour guide. He felt like a local friend and is a treasure and champion of San Pedro Sula! Super knowledgeable, professional, prompt and kind, Kerim went above and beyond every step of the way.
I booked two tours with Kerim and used his transportation services to bring me to the airport to fly out to Roatan!
I highly recommend Kerim , felt incredibly safe while on his tours (especially as a solo woman traveler) and 1000% would use his tour services again - as I hope to visit Honduras again one day!
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Ms. Nikki, thank you from the bottom of my heart. From the moment we met, I felt like I was welcoming a friend—not just guiding a guest. Exploring San Pedro Sula with you was a joy, but sharing the beauty of the Mayan ruins in Copán and the peaceful magic of the Lake Yojoa area made it unforgettable. Your trust, especially as a solo traveler, means everything to me. I’m honored you felt safe, cared for, and inspired throughout your journey. Helping you get to Roatán smoothly was just one more way I could support your adventure. You reminded me why I do this—with heart, pride, and a deep love for Honduras. I’ll be here whenever you return, ready to create new memories together. ¡Hasta pronto, amiga!

This is a very well organized tour with a guide who truly cares about the guest's experience. He is attentive to the guest and sees that all needs are met and an excellent time is had. I strongly endorse this as a wonderful way to explore Copan and learn about that site as well as today's Honduras.

A fantastic tour from start to finish thanks mainly to Kerim who was an amazing guide. He was communicative and super friendly and passionate about what he does. We had a great day visiting two different ruins and Kerim was super informative. Would recommend him for any tour in Honduras as he really wants visitors to enjoy his country. He was so kind that he even took me free of charge to the airport the next day which he didn’t need to do

Claudia_A, Jul 2024
First, it’s advertised at $185, but I was penalized and charged $295 because no one else signed up for the tour on my chosen date. Then there was NO warning of the winding roads and conditions (I get massive motion sickness) & not prepared to feel like crap for the several hours it takes to get there & back. Had I known beforehand, I could’ve taken meds. Driver also acted like he was F1 racer which made it worse, seatbelt buckle wasn’t there for me to strap in for safety & the entire ride back it was also severely raining in which he never slowed down. So not only did I get motion sickness again, but also was concerned for my safety. The ruins were great, but I had to explore on my own or pay extra for a guide inside (which I didn’t do considering I already paid $110 more). I was never given the option to upgrade my ticket to enter the tunnels within the ruins. I didn’t get to go to Macaw park as stated in tour ad. I was taken to sunflower fields instead for about 20 minutes. I tipped “guide” after, but shouldn’t have after I found out the “tour company” is only him and he was the one that overcharged me to begin with. Solo travelers should not be penalized when they have no control over how many other people sign up for the day tour. They should pay the exact same amount as everyone else when they are receiving the exact same tour. This was definitely overpriced Uber ride to the ruins. More cost effective to rent a car yourself and have more freedom to see more in the day.

Great day tour to Copán ruins. I had been there before but it was the first time for my daughter and we love everything of the tour. Kerim is an excellent tour guide, he is knowledgeable, responsible, respectful and he went above and beyond making sure we had a great time . He was on time to pick us up at the hotel. We had a great delicious breakfast and then we headed to the ruins, we made a stop to El puente which I had never visited before so it was a nice surprise, at the ruins we had a local amazing tour guide Cesar. We visited the museum and then the Copán ruins town. We did not feel rush at any time Kerim gave us our space and safely took us back to our hotel. I definitely recommend him if you want to have an excellent Copán ruins tour. Thank you Kerim from Sussy and Ángela.
Response from Host, Aug 2024
Dear Sussy and Ángela,
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful review! I'm thrilled to hear that you both enjoyed your day tour to the Copán ruins, especially since it was a special first-time experience for your daughter. It was my pleasure to ensure that your visit was memorable, and I'm glad you appreciated the stop at El Puente and the time spent with our local guide, Cesar.
Your comfort and satisfaction are my top priorities, so it’s wonderful to know that you felt neither rushed nor pressured throughout the day. It was a joy to share the history and beauty of Copán and our country in general with you both, and I'm grateful for your recommendation.
Thank you again for choosing me as your guide, and I hope to welcome you on another adventure in the future!
Best regards,
Kerim

erim is an incredible guy and great ambassador for his country. The tour was a 10/10.
I did the Copán ruins day trip from San Pedro Sula. I was the only person and I’m generally not too conversational but he kept me engaged the entire day, (5 hour drive each way). His English is great and he’s also able to provide great historical context on his country and all candid topics up to the present day. I learned heaps about Honduras. On the way back i was sleepy and he made sure to give me peace to rest.
Kerim’s communication throughout the booking process was prompt and professional which eased any concerns i had about making such an ambitious trip with such short timeframe to work with. This far exceeded every other tour group i contacted on my one week journey.
I would highly recommend Kerim as a guide. I could tell he was honorable through our 10 hours of conversation and any solo female travelers would feel comfortable and safe with him.
We even worked out a deal for an airport transfer the next morning since i had an early flight and didn’t want to risk finding a taxi.
Have no doubts, if you book a tour with icatracho tours you will have an amazing experience!

Kerim is a fantastic guide. He is nice, kind and flexible to accommodate and suggest how to change plans to make things better. My incoming flight was missed so instead of arriving at 7pm I got in at 3am so what does he suggest? Picking me up at airport at 3am instead of my hotel at 5am and off we go. Turned out to be a genius move. We had a great day and it was a great tour of Copan. Only thing to know which was unexpected is you will want to pay $30 for a local guide of Copan and $15 to go into tunnels since that isn’t included. No complaints. Hopefully when you go they will have the damn road finished since it is a LONG drive with traffic and construction blocking one direction. Be prepared to spend a small lifetime in the car but you can sleep and enjoy Kerim’s knowledge of Honduras. I can’t think of a guide with a better attitude and disposition. Thanks Kerim!!

This was one of the most memorable days of my life. My guide, Kerim, ask gave me a few options and I asked to do everything...he made it possible! We had a very early start because Copan is VERY far from San Pedro Sula, but we took a rest for a breakfast of great Honduran food in a comfortable restaurant. We then arrived at El Puente, which alone made the trip worthwhile. We then visited Las Sepultura before stopping for lunch and having local beer and coffee. We then went to the Copan museum, explored the tunnels, and wonder throughout the majestic ancient ruins.
Kerim has a lot of experience and knew how to make the day more and more amazing.
Response from Host, Feb 2024
Dear Chance:
Thank you immensely for sharing your wonderful experience of our tour, and I'm thrilled to hear that it was one of the most memorable days of your life!
At iCatracho Tours, we strive to tailor our tours to the preferences and interests of our guests, and it's delightful to hear that Kerim succeeded in making your day extraordinary.
Indeed, Copan is quite a distance from San Pedro Sula, but we're glad that you found the early start worthwhile, especially with a satisfying breakfast of authentic Honduran cuisine at a comfortable restaurant to kick off the day on the right note.
El Puente is undoubtedly a highlight of any trip to Copan and exploring Las Sepulturas, indulging in local cuisine and beverages, and immersing yourself in the rich history and culture of the region at the Copan museum and ancient ruins must have been truly enriching experiences.
Kerim's wealth of experience and expertise undoubtedly played a significant role in enhancing your day, and We are delighted that he was able to make each moment more amazing for you. Your appreciation for his efforts means a lot to us.
Once again, thank you for choosing iCatracho Tours and for sharing your fantastic experience. Should you ever find yourself planning another trip to Honduras, we would be honored to welcome you back for more unforgettable adventures.
Warmest regards...
