The tour guide was knowledgeable, Nick the driver was terrible; unnecessary fast braking for no reason. This is a tourist trap excursion -not at all as it was described. The olive oil and honey tasting are just shops designed to sell tourists , same with the pottery. This is the typical tourist trap experience. Nothing really to see in Lindros. Avoid this. If you ar on a cruise, walk to take a cab to the old city and go to the beach.

We don’t have “Lindros” here, but if you meant Lindos, it’s actually one of the most famous archaeological sites not just in Rhodes, but in all of Greece. If the only thing you remembered from the visit was tasting oil and honey, that’s a bit of a shame — there was a lot more to experience.
As for the pottery workshop, the stop wasn’t meant to encourage purchases, but to show the centuries-old process of Greek pottery-making — a true part of our heritage.
And regarding the Old Town — you don’t actually need a cab. It’s about a 5-minute walk from the pier… though we understand, that for some traveling individuals it’s easier to just enjoy its view from the cabin. 😉 Cruisers do have a wide range of preferences, and we enjoy every single one of them including the puzzling ones. This excursion is fantastic. Our guide Nicole was fabulous and extremely knowledgeable. We wish she had skipped the wine tasting at the end and allowed for some shopping time. Other than that we had a great time.

The tour guide was amazing on her knowledge of Greek Mythology , her enthusiasm was contagious and she was helpful and a fun person.
One small thing, some of us wanted more time in the old city - so perhaps add extra 30 minutes or so on the front end in order to allow some personal requests.

We were provided with detailed instructions through email and whatsapp a couple days before our tour. The morning of, everything was exactly as described in the message, which made things very easy for us. We were picked up from the port directly next to our cruise ship.
Our tour guide, Joanna, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Rhodes. We elected not to go up to the Acropolis of Lindos since it was too hot, but Joanna took the rest of the group and allowed us free time in the city.
The pottery demonstration, olive oil and honey tastings took about 45 minutes, and other groups were there doing the same thing.
We ended by taking a walk through the medieval city of Rhodes where we learned about the history of the city, had a wine tasting, and were given free time to shop.
The tour lasted from about 8:30am until 4:00pm with the first half hour being spent picking up other tour guests. There is a lot of time spent driving, as Lindos and the cruise port are far apart. Our driver (I don't remember his name) was awesome and our group felt safe with his driving.
Ultimately, this tour was a great way to spend the little time we had in port, and we feel that was very good at maximizing the Rhodes experience.
Another big thanks to Joanna for providing us such a wonderful and hospitable experience.

This was an very average tour that we cannot recommend. There were some good moments but overall a solid “meh”
The pickup was timely and convenient however the instructions weren’t clear and we did a good bit of extra walking to find the cherry (red) minivan.
In was a holiday, so I suppose the that could have had an impact on traffic, however we were over an hour to get to Lindos.
This is a great destination however we only had a little over an hour to spend the explore the many shops and walk the 400 steps to the Acropolis there and return. It simply wasn’t enough time. Two hours+ travel for a one visit isn’t time effective.
By the way, the provided lunch was a cold sandwich, a banana. and a bottle water to find a place of your own to “enjoy”. There aren’t some great restaurants in Lindos. There just wasn’t time to eat there.
The pottery demonstration was fine but the typical opportunity to pitch a purchase. The honey tastings was a do-it-yourself affair that you could do anywhere else. It would have been better to have had more time in Lindos.
The medieval city of Rhodes was the better part of the excursion. This was informative and well presented. Facinating and we’ll preserved (restored).
The wine tasting at the end was just that. Three small samples of white, rose, and red wines. The wines were fine.
Overall, uninspiring and not recommended Our driver was very good and the guide was knowledgeable. The schedule was not well thought out and some stops just captive marketing.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We often receive comments from customers who arrive on luxury cruise ships but opt for our budget shared tours. Many of these customers expect the services and experiences akin to luxury private tours and Michelin-starred restaurants. In essence, their expectations don't quite align with the simplicity of our offerings. Nonetheless, we choose to view a 3-star review from such discerning customers as equivalent to a 5-star review from the average traveller. 😊
Regarding the pick-up instructions, we strongly advise all our customers not just to look at them but to read them thoroughly. We copy them to your cell phones in case you have issues receiving instructions from Viator/Tripadvisor. The instructions clearly state that we will collect you RIGHT NEXT TO YOUR SHIP. This means you should not walk outside cruise port gate and call us from there asking: « Where are you??? We are at the rental car office!» Νο we won’t pick you up at rental car office, orthodox church Grand Master's Palace, etc, but directly beside your cruise ship. Our cherry-red Mercedes Benz minibus, sporting a large '242' sign on its windshield, is unmistakable. We intentionally chose this vibrant shade to ensure maximum visibility, even for the most discerning eyes!
Lindos is about 50 km from the port, and the standard transfer takes approximately an hour. In Lindos, we provide an hour of free time following the guided tour, which also lasts about an hour. This window usually offers ample opportunity for those who might prefer a local tavern meal over our sandwich offering.
While honey tasting can be experienced in various locations, including in your home country, the quality and flavour of honey can vary greatly. Rhodes is renowned for its honey, especially the one curated by the family of producers who presented it to you during the tour. We believe that the ingredients, and where they come from, play a significant role in the final taste.

We enjoyed our trip in Rhodes. The acropolis was nice but a little strenuous in high heat. Loved the ceramics, olive oil tasting and wine tasting. Also enjoyed the free time shopping in old city.

Usually Viator tours are amazing but this one did not deliver. Lunch was a warm sandwhich, banana and warm water from under the bus as we got off to tour Lindos. Where am I supposed to eat this? While walking? We ended up throwing the sandwhiches away as they got so warm with the heat. A quick restaurant would have been great. The olive/honey tasting was 4 bowls of olive oil next to a cash register, same for honey. We couldn't even get to them. Maybe a separate table? Chairs? Explanations of the different oils? Very overadvertised. Wine tasting was 3 (white/rose/red) . Don't think this small restaurant was a correct venue for wine tasting. Maybe a winery if you're going to advertise a wine tasting? Or atleast someone with knowledge of wine? Sorry, all three were very low quality wines. We just felt that this was over-advertised and were also told we would have time in Rhodes for shopping before returning to the ship. We walked thru Rhodes with the guide and then taken to the bus. That's where we left the tour and decided to return to the ship on our own. I'm sorry to leave the review as we usually have great tours with Viator.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Our staff records indicate that your dissatisfaction began during our initial meeting at the port that morning. You communicated to our guide your expectation of a private tour, rather than the shared one that was originally booked. This discrepancy seemed to trigger a series of subsequent complaints from your end. Unfortunately, your displeasure reached a point where even a group of fellow cruisers from the same ship felt compelled to address it. Despite your mention of booking numerous tours through Viator, there still seems to be confusion about the cost distinction between a high-end private tour and a standard shared tour. For clarification, a tour priced at 70 euros is unlikely to include a private experience, a restaurant meal, and a Michelin-grade wine tasting. We recommend that you thoroughly read the tour descriptions before finalizing your bookings. Our provision for lunch, for instance, is not a restaurant meal but a packed lunch: Greek sandwich and fruit. You had the opportunity to enjoy your provided sandwich at any number of the numerous street cafes or indoor establishments in Lindos, where an hour of free time was allotted. Your decision to throw away the sandwiches, sourced from one of Rhodes' premier bakeries – Karavolias bakery, can be seen as disrespectful to the hard-working local bakers and our team. This incident may prompt us to reevaluate the amenities included in our tours right after this tourist season. As for the bottled water, we purchased and provided it cold in the morning. If the temperature changed by midday, this is a natural occurrence. Bear in mind that ice-cold water is readily available along all the tour route for a minimal additional expense. A purchase as nominal as 50 euro cents should not strain the budget of such discerning travellers. There were not four but six samples each of olive oil and honey, some of the best products this island has to offer. We regret that you missed the explanation provided by the owner, as you chose to visit a neighboring store during that time. In relation to the wine tasting venue, while it may seem small by American standards, a 360-seat establishment is considered mid-sized in Europe. Its quality is validated by a host of positive reviews on Tripadvisor. The guided segment of the Old Town tour lasted for one hour, followed by an additional hour of free time. However, due to a disagreement with other travellers, you opted to separate from the group before the tour's conclusion. We appreciate your feedback and send our best wishes from sunny Greece.

I honestly do not know how to explain how wonderful it was to do our tour with Telia. Over the course of planning this trip I realized that Greeks are very genuine and honest people Our guide Rula was not an exception but the best of all. She went out of her way to make sure we were able to see everything on our itinerary and more. Even though circumstances on that particular day made other tour companies have to skip Lindos, we did not have to. We did not opt for a private tour, however still felt like our group of 18 people was pretty private compared to the numbers we saw with the ship tours. We recommend this tour without any hesitation.

My wife and I both enjoyed this tour. Our guide Maria was outstanding. Her English and knowledge of the history of Rhodes was excellent, finding the answer for a question if she didn't know it. She had a delightful sense of humour and made the history extremely interesting and easy to understand. She went out of her way to include the Archaeological Museum for those who wanted to visit it right at the end of a very busy day, still smiling and making sure we all had what we needed. Maria also arranged shopping time in the old town for those who wished for it. An amazing day spent enjoying such a beautiful island. I highly recommend this tour but particularly Maria.

Spectacular, well planned, perfectly-executed tour. Our Guide Anastasia was the best tour guide we have ever had. She was a professional with such detailed knowledge of every location! Her historical expertise was superior and added so much to our tour. I wondered if he had a history degree. Having someone like Anastasia escort us through the different places in Rhodes was a perfect way to absorb the special feeling of the island. She focused our attention on important sights while providing the context in history or art. Fabulous details and riveting background for every venue made each location better than the last. We learned much about Rhodes history during the pre-ancient, ancient and A.D periods. Current life of the local citizen was included and added to our appreciation of Rhodes. Anastasia’s ability to manage the group, avoiding crowds was outstanding. We would never have been able to see as much as we did in Rhodes without her. I can’t say enough about the value of this tour company and tour guide. We were picked up at our ship and dropped off on time. Communication with Victoria prior to booking and after booking was simply perfect! Our Mediterranean Cruise had many highlights, but Rhodes was a jewel among our experiences thanks to Anastasia, Vasilis, Victoria and all their team!

Tour operator did not show up!! We waited outside by the ship for over 2 hours! I received an email long after the tour was to begin telling us the type of vehicle to look for. Internet on a ship is unreliable! She was too lazy to get of the car to hold a sign with the tour name or our names. Please refund our money!!!

Kathy, the tour operator, not only managed to arrive on time but also successfully gathered 174 guests from the same cruise ship. Unfortunately, there were two exceptions, including yourself, where the other person mistakenly went to the wrong ports at different times. As you mentioned earlier, you were expecting to meet the tour operator that morning, but it seems there was some confusion as you were searching for them 40 minutes after the tour had already departed. It's important to note that the tour guides were not lazy, as evidenced by the numerous positive reviews received from other cruise passengers aboard the Odyssey of the Seas during their visit to Rhodes on October 27, 2022. We had a great tour guide Ioanna for our full day excursion in Rhodes. This is a worry free way to see so many sites. Literally everything is taken care of, from pick up right next to the ship to return back 1,5 hours in advance departure. We even had enough time for shopping and second wine tasting in the old town. We highly recommend this tour to all those who want to get the most out of Rhodes!

Our full day tour was wonderful. Our tour guide Sofia spoke perfect English, provided in-depth information about history and culture of Rhodes in particular and Greece in general.. Lots of useful tips on how to survive tourist crowds in the old town and Lindos, how to make tzatziki, to salt olives etc. We even had time to visit a local market and stock up on Rhodes honey. That was fun and special for us. The places we visited were all interesting and Sofia and Nikos understood that with limited time, need to be strategic. Also all the information provided before the tour by Dimitra made the entire experience free of worry and stress. Thank you for making our day in Rhodes memorable and pleasant.

What a whirlwind of sights and flavors! Our guide Ioanna & driver Kiriazis were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the full day tour in Rhodes. The highlights were two: the Old town & wine tasting. OMG! we could not even imagine how good are Greek wines, make sure you don’t miss that part especially if you are wine lovers! The sommelier and the winery owner do an excellent job!

Wine tasting was a bit lame. Only 3 samples and no white wine. Garlic bread and oil was not good either. Distilled product was not very smooth. Product in Crete was much better.

a) Our wine tasting experience includes a selection of five samples, specifically three red wines and two white wines.
b) We regret to inform you that we do not offer garlic bread or smooth distilled products as part of our offerings. It's possible that you may have confused our business with another one. Perhaps you were referring to different isles and tours? This confusion is not uncommon among cruise passengers who visit multiple countries and islands within a week.

Thank you for your time and review. We highly recommend paying close attention to the tour description before making any bookings. The current description states that the Old Town portion of the tour is an optional extension for guests who have sufficient energy after the 7-hour tour to explore the Medieval city at their leisure. They can easily return to the ship, which is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk away, or choose to take a bus or cab to their hotel/apartment. For the convenience of all other tour members, we ensure their return to their respective ships and hotels. We appreciate your valuable feedback and are pleased to inform you that starting from the 2023 tourist season, we will be excluding the springs and including an Old Town Intro as part of this tour. Where should I begin?

> our departure time was scheduled for 900am. Departed at 945 after searching inside and out of ship dock. Terrible map.

We did not. He was intending to return us at 630, the ship departure time.

When we return from our cruise we will be calling Viator requesting a 50% refund because you did not deliver the tour described in your tour description.

Thank you for your time and review. Regarding the directions to the meeting point, most people with a short path problem have no issues finding our vehicles parked right next to their ships. That's why, apart from the two of you, nobody had any problems finding it that morning. Your departure was not scheduled for 9:00 AM because your ship arrival was scheduled for 9:00 AM. That's why we scheduled the pick-up for 9:30-9:45 AM and left the port on time. If you had read our simple pick-up information at least once, you would not have had any reason to look for the vehicle inside and outside the ship dock earlier than the mentioned time.
The duration of this tour is clearly stated in its description as 6-7 hours, so your return at 4:30 PM was perfectly on schedule. The tour to the top, which we refer to as Acropolis here, is optional. Unfortunately, Lindos does not have any elevators, so the only way to get to Acropolis is by stairs. The visit to 7 Springs has always been part of this tour itinerary.
Regarding the wine tasting, there were 4 samples. We are not sure how you do it in NY, but here most wine tastings consist of 4–6 wines. It has been found that exceeding such a limit can fatigue most people's palates. A wine tasting flight should be no more than a glass of wine in total, if even that much. Any more would be a waste.
The other party merged with yours and booked the same tour, but they mistakenly thought it was a private one. We highly recommend reading the tour description before booking. It's a shame that you forced the guide to negotiate varying expectations, as this wasted the efforts of our most knowledgeable and experienced guide in Rhodes. He could have used that time more efficiently by sharing more interesting stories about the history and culture of Rhodes.

This experience is an amazing way to see a lot of the beautiful island, with a roll and a piece of fruit for your lunch which is plenty, as well as water, my only advise would be is the there is a moderate treck to the seven springs water fall as well as a small pitch black tunnel that is optional, all in all a great day

Thank you for your positive review. I wish we could stay longer at the winery, but the cruise passengers had limited time in Rhodes, their ship was departing in couple hours. To have more flexibility we would recommend booking private vs group tours and depend on nobody else's travel wishes but yours. It was a pleasure to work with you. Best regards from sunny Rhodes!
