We turned up to our Food Tour in Pula and no guide turned up. We rang the number of the operator provided on the booking and they said they do not provide food tours only wine and they did not have our booking for this evening. Tried to chat on line with Viator and no response.

We are truly sorry for your experience and completely understand your frustration. Unfortunately, at the beginning of the season we experienced a serious technical issue with our booking notification system and phone line, which resulted in us not receiving your tour information in time.
This is absolutely not the level of service we aim to provide. We are a small local company and take every guest experience personally. A full refund was of course issued immediately, and we have already implemented additional measures to ensure this cannot happen again.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment caused during your time in Pula.

I paid over $200 through Viator for a food tour experience with Pula Food Tour and NOBODY showed up. I tried to call and message and received no response. We verified that we were in the right place by another tour company so don’t waste your time or money especially since I’m having trouble getting mine back

This is a great tour, Denis was a lovely host who had tons of knowledge and facts to share about the food history of the region. I do think this tour could have been maybe 30 minutes shorter, but other than that, a really enjoyable experience!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and we had a great time! The food was delicious, though I wish we had been told what we would be eating ahead of time; we had a couple dishes that not everyone in our party liked such as octopus and cabbage. The tour is really great as a first thing to do in Pula, especially if you really like history.

The octopus dish was incredible even all the people who were a little afraid of trying it ate every last bit. It was fabulous. Denis our guide was so lovely. He took us to lots of really nice restaurants and the tour was very interesting. This was one of the best food walking tours I have been on, both from the guide and the quality and quantity of food we had. We had a lovely group of people on the tour.

We had a lovely night exploring Pula sights, and tastes. We started with an all day wine spritzer and Bruschetta, then moved to an amazing octopus dish. The night was truly an adventure for the taste 👅 buds! We enjoyed our time in Pula!

The tour was not good. The guide seemed high. Could not answer any questions. Barely spoke English. We had more fun talking with other guests on the tour then her. Taking a group from one restaurant to the other is not a tour!

We are sorry we did not achieve your expectations, saying that our guide Anna, is one of our best guides that speaks fluent English, and has done more than 200 tours for us with many 5* feedbacks under her name. She is also a professional guide with local licence and has a lot of knowledge.
The tour had to be shortened a bit as well due to you being late at the meeting point. Our main goal is that you get a walking tour of the city, and taste the local food in 5-course dinner with olive oil and spirit tasting added to all this.
We are again sorry for the inconvenience you were fully refunded for the tour as well.

Great walk thru the city hitting all the main historical highlights! This tour is heavy in food and wine—come hungry. All good was good but the street fish tacos were a huge hit! This is a tour you should take early in your stay to get a layout of the city!

Die Entscheidung zu dieser Tour haben wir ganz sicher nicht bereut. Geboten waren eine kleine Zeitreise durch die Geschichte Pulas mit vielen gemütlichen Zwischenstopps in einigen Restaurants und Feinkostläden der Stadt. Die einzelnen Gänge und Tastings waren nicht nur super lecker, sondern wir haben auch einiges Neues probiert und für uns entdeckt.
Zu diesem wundervollen Abend hat auch die nächtliche Atmosphäre von Pula beigetragen, mit Straßenmusikanten, milden Temperaturen und viel Trubel in den beleuchteten Gassen.
Auch unsere Reiseleitung können wir loben. Sie hat viel Wissen über die Stadt gemischt mit Tipps zu Pula und seiner Umgebung, die perfekt auf uns abgestimmt waren.
Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

Our guide will be so happy to read this, we tried our best to do a walking tour and find restaurants that fit our schedule and prepare traditional food that we want you to try. All the foods were hand-picked by and recommended by local food experts so we took them and added a few tastings such as olive oil and spirit tasting as well.
We agree that Pula is a very vibrant city, that offers it all, from historical sites to amazing street artists, and in the evening when we do the tour is not so hot either.
