Orca diving center. From City center of Pula, take BUS 3 a or 2 a, direction Verudela, till the last station. Follow the signs for Hotel Park Plaza Histria. Past hotel and take first road ( coast line-fire access road) on the right. After 100 m we are there at Orca diving centere

Very fun. Great for beginners. Diving guides have a lot of experience and adjust to your level. There were 8 people/3 families that signed up at our time and we were able to get 3 guides and split up. The only problem was on the oat or instructions it say to meet at the Yacht Club restaurant. Don’t meet there meet at their office.

Fantastic instructors. Calm and safe and stayed within everyone's comfort zone. 3 to 1 per instructor which was great. See lots of fish and went down to about 6 metres. Learned the basics of SCUBA and looking forward to trying it again!

During the intro dive you will do...

During the intro dive you will do things, breathing and... no wait that was it, just breathing. Ok fair enough you get to listen to a short explaination about diving before going into the water, information you won't really use. This is because the intro dive is just you being dragged through the shallows by and experienced diver while you get to breathe and see the sights under water. It's kind of like watching a nature show about sea life but then less comfortable. It is pretty cool to see all the colourful fish and even a seahorse. The staff of the diving center do seem to know their stuff and they are experienced as far as I can tell, I'm diving noob. However you don't get to swim yourself and that was pretty dissapointing. I have gone diving once before and swimming and floating under water was the best part of the experience. Seriously I do recommend diving, but then actual diving not getting dragged through the water. The organisation was also a bit chaotic. A lot of just waiting and standing around without any clear communication about what we waiting for or what is expected of us. However that would have been less of problem if the rest was fun. If you to actually dive yourself and maybe even learn it, then you are probably on the right place at the Orca Diving Center. However you will need to get a different package than the Intro Dive. If you just want to see the fish and the rest of underwater life then I suggest you get a diving mask and a snorkel. This gives you a lot more time and freedom to enjoy what you see. It costs a lot less money while you get to see the same things. There are plenty of good spots for snorkeling around Pula and I highly recommend doing this. Look for rocky beaches, the sand at the sandy beaches obscures your vision a lot.

All the staff were very friendly and spoke wonderful English. The instructional part was informative and left me feeling much safer about being a first time diver. Although the weather wasn't the greatest, my husband and I had an excellent experience!
