We will meet you on the shore 100 meters south of the marina. This is a common meeting spot, so look for congregated people and a set of stairs to access the beach. A local security guard will keep watch over all cars and appreciates any tips for the service. See you on the beach!

private snorkeling and sunset tour

We took a private sunset snorkeling tour on 9/24/2025. We had an amazing time. Frank and Carlos were a wonderful crew. My dad, 76, has limited mobility from a stroke and they were both patient and helpful. On our journey to the first snorkeling spot, frank spotted a sea turtle and a whale. He was able to approach both of them for us to get photos and videos. At the first location, my mom had not snorkeled previously. Frank and Carlos helped and provided information for a positive experience. We had a helpful guide in the water that found puffer fish, lobster, and other things we would not have seen ourselves. Upon our return, they cut fresh pineapple and had drinks. We went to a second stop and had another good time. Frank and Carols made fresh guacamole with chips. We were able to see the sun setting on the ocean. i would recommend this trip over any of the other crowded tours.

Lots of fun, Captain Frank was awesome. Very relaxed and thoughtful and fun. Some of the snorkeling equipment could use refreshing but otherwise was everything we wanted and more. Plus great dips!!

We had a great day on the water with captain frank. Awesome guacamole and pineapple. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. My girls really enjoyed jumping off the boat. Would definitely recommend Captain Frank

No call, no show, absolute scam of a company

My wife and I always enjoy the sunset tours when we travel. In fact, it’s usually the highlight of our trip. We found this company on Viator and booked it. We drove 1.5 hours to the meetup spot (see picture above). We were 15 min early and saw other charter companies loading their customers. We were left waiting with no tour operator from Pura Vida Snorkeling. About 5 min before the meetup time, with all other charters having left, I started to call the company phone number. It would ring once and disconnect immediately. I sent them numerous messages on the viator app, asking if they were showing up and if they could please contact us. We got no reply. I sent them an email to their business email and a message on their Instagram page. We got no correspondence from the company. 30 minutes after the meetup time, we contacted Viator (who were and have always been phenomenal to work with). Viator confirmed we had successfully booked and we were in the correct spot. They tried reaching out to the company and were unable to contact anyone either. They apologized for the inconvenience and said they would request a refund from the tour company. As of the time of this review, we still have never heard back from Pura Vida Snorkeling, which based on them not having a working phone number, I believe is a fraudulent company. They definitely accepted our payment and took our money. The company never even refunded the money to us. We had to follow up with Viator and Viator refunded us the money when we were back home. TLDR: Pura Vida Snorkeling no call and no showed. Took our money and never reached back out to us after numerous messages and calls. Scam of a company. We ended up going on another tour at a different area the next day and it was wonderful. Avoid booking with this company!
