Me and her friend went on this trip and it was awesome. They are very communicated and they make sure you’re safe the whole trip. Carlos was the best. He got great footage of a lobster on my GoPro. The staff are very funny and make you feel comfortable. They took us to. Moho beach, silk caye; and we even got to swim with nurse sharks, stingrays and turtles. The boat wasn’t crowded. The tour is actually about 6 to 7 hours. I would highly recommend to anyone who is traveling to Belize to do this tour.

This was a great excursion! The guys on the boat were amazing and attentive. This is the first snorkeling excursion I’ve ever done with a guide. Tony was ours and he was awesome. Pointed out a bunch of different fish and coral. Then they took us to swim with a loggerhead turtle named Bubbles, as well as rays and nurse sharks. It was the coolest snorkeling I’ve ever done. After that we had lunch on Moho caye which was delicious. Nobody in my party chose to snorkel again at this spot so we spent the time relaxing on their island and appreciating the beautiful views.

Best snorkeling we’ve done. Sharks, turtles, lots of fish. Fun boat ride. Only hiccup was they never provided me with an actual pickup time so we were scrambling in the morning. Worked out fine!

This was fabulous. It felt professional and safe. I recommend this tour, however I had an issue with my snorkel gear.
This may be a personal problem, but I have a short-medium length mustache, and water kept getting in my snorkel from under my nose. I had to just hold my fingers pressed in the snorkel under my nose to maintain the seal. The snorkel guide said that they would recommend putting Vaseline on my mustache to help with the seal, but they forgot it back on shore. My partner with a longer mustache was fine; however, someone else without a mustache complained about water coming into her snorkel, as well. Long story short- I’ll bring my own snorkel gear next time 😎
Silk caye was gorgeous. Moho caye was really nice. The cooked lunch was good. There were guys selling fresh coconuts and rum on Moho, so that was fun. Really nice day!

This was the most fun and beautiful tour. Captain Jacks picked us up promptly, provided lunch and drinks, and took us to the perfect places to snorkel where we saw sharks, barracudas, stingrays…it was absolutely amazing and the best part of our vacation to Placencia. Worth every penny!

What an amazing snorkel adventure to swim alongside nurse sharks, stingray and a sea turtle! Moho Caye was also beautiful to relax and have some delicious lunch.

Thank you Nick, Angel, Brian, and Captain Dean for a snorkeling experience of a lifetime. The crew was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and entertaining. Boat was very comfortable. We were able to see nursing sharks, sting rays, and a sea turtle. Lunch was super tasty!! One hiccup where we waited almost 30min to get picked up and didn't hear from the operating group. It wasn't until we had our hotel receptionist call them before we got picked up. Luckily it all worked out and we were still able to join our group.

I want nothing more than to say this was the most wonderful experience. Unfortunately for us, it started off horrendous. We were actually supposed to be on the one that this review is under (Sunday, Feb 16th), but we did not. We ended up having to go the next day (Monday, Feb 17th), not because of us, but rather the tour company and Viator. I had rescheduled this tour from Monday to Sunday a week prior to our trip. As we waited to be picked up on Sunday, nothing. I tried contacting the tour company, it would tell us invalid number. I contacted Viator, we were hung up on or disconnected during the first call. We called back, they confirmed our tour was indeed for that day. The tour company finally reached out, over 40 minutes past our pick up time. They said the boat had left. They also stated that their reservation for us said tomorrow, I told them that had been changed a week prior and in fact WE had a voucher stating it was today etc. He argued with me, I stated I can show him our voucher and he said he could show us what he has. Really? I don't care what excuse, I go by when my money was taken out of my bank account and what my ticket says, which was for that day. They blamed Viator on not updating them etc. etc. Mind you, we are only in Placencia for 2 full days. We had other plans scheduled for the next day. The tour agency offered no other compensation other than "free cancellation". What a joke. We were literally here for this highlight of our vacation, snorkeling. We then had to decide to keep this tour and go the next day. Our day was ruined, we missed other experiences we were supposed to have the following day because now wasted hours on the one we weren't picked up for. We confirmed with tour company we would be picked up the next day (they asked us to wait at end of dirt road on main road) yeah, not our hotel as our ticket says but I said ok. They had our hotel name and address, it's on the voucher as well.
On to the next day, Monday, we wait at the end of the road 8am as they had told us. No one arrives to pick us up. It's now 8:06am, I whatsapp the tour company, they state that they are "waiting for us at the pier" like what? After again discussing the location, the tour company after much confusion says they will be there get us. This is past 8:25am by now. A taxi shows up at 8:37am and takes us to the boat. The tour rep told us, oh we didn't know there's another hotel with the same name. I looked, couldn't find one. There's a BAR with a similar name. Any google search shows our hotel/Apartment on it. You would think knowing how they already messed up so bad that they would be extra vigilant to not mess up any further. Anyways, our hotel address was on the voucher. Later on in the day, come to find out, other passengers told us the boat had actually LEFT without us and turned around! What if I had not reached out when I did? This was the worst, most stressful Tour/Viator experience I have ever had.
They really need to get their organization together. Viator as well, if according to the tour company "didn't notify them of the change". Still not our issue. Also, some type of compensation other than a measly cancellation option, this goes for Viator as well should have occurred. I wasn't asking for a full refund, just some type of compensation for missing our other experiences. It's a joke because they literally didn't pick us up, not our fault. They played the blame game and now have upset customers that missed out on part of their experiences with limited time. I have used Viator for 40+ experiences and now I am wary to ever book here again. Definitely double, triple, quadruple check. Call the day before, call the day of, call 5 minutes before, and don't ever trust rebooking tours or what your voucher says. Basically don't trust that anyone knows what's going on or expect true customer service.
Now onto the GOOD, the places we went were wonderful, we swam with sharks, rays, turtles, fish, coral reef...it was amazing. Nikki was a kind girl and we enjoyed snorkeling with her. She would snorkel down to the coral and grab things to show us and teach/show us the creatures/coral etc. Lunch was tasty and set on a wonderful small island. We enjoyed having a couple hours of free time. We were fortunate not many people were there so it felt very secluded and private :). It was a great snorkel experience.
Honestly, I don't expect anything. I just want to make those involved aware of things that should not have happened. And these issues definitely weren't the customer, myself and my partners fault. Especially for a tour this expensive. Better customer service on both parts. If not for these issues, this tour would have received 5 STARS no doubt. If you made it this far, reserve at your own risk, the snorkeling portion was still amazing!
