Overview
Discover the wonderful world of scuba diving during this introductory course in Cyprus. Learn the basics of diving and become familiar with the gear alongside PADI-certified instructors. Then, take to the waters for your very first open-water dive at the Roman Wall. Discover several species of marine life as well as ancient Roman amphorae and old anchors.

The most amazing day, Emma the instructor kept us calm in the pool so that we could fully understand and take in all techniques and instructions, she was also fun and explained things in a way everyone could understand and then getting out into the sea and swimming with all the fish was just amazing! Cathal also took some beautiful photos and a video too that we jumped at the chance to buy because they were so good! Thanks to Emma and everyone at cydive we definitely have the scuba diving bug now, can't thank you all enough for making our wedding anniversary so special! ❤️

Really fun experience. Small group of us given a rundown of the basics in a training pool and then out to the shallow (1-5m) waters of the old Roman harbour with the instructors. Everyone was great and very reassuring, and there are loads of people on hand in the harbour so you know you’re being looked after. See the old Roman stone, plus a couple of anchors, old amphora and a bunch of colourful fish - unfortunately we didn’t see any turtle on our trip. Would highly recommend

the Scuba diving was amazing, the instructor was clear and made you feel safe and comfortable. the only thing I would say is that at the end they try and sell you photos, it does bump the price up. on top of this if you are a single person, a couple, a group , the more of you their are the more expensive the pictures are, this to me don't make sense as its only camera shots but you get charged depending how many are in your group in the shot. The scuba dive, as mentioned was amazing. If you are travelling to the other side of the island you can get cheaper dives with pictures included so something to think about

I spent a week in Cyprus during which I did many amazing things, but when folks ask me what was the most memorable thing I did in Cyprus, I always excitedly say "I tried scuba diving!" Seriously though, what a mind-blowing incredible experience this was! I'm a swimmer but had never actually dived anywhere with diving gear, and even though I'd always wanted to try it there was always some sort of uneasiness thinking about it. Not with Cydive though! Kris, our instructor, was very friendly, very calm and reassuring, made sure everybody was comfortable and knew the necessary basics. We did a practice session in the pool before we went for the actual dive, so when we went to the sea everybody in the group felt confident and calm. The dive itself was one of the most amazing experiences in my life, one that I will very much like to do again and again in the future, only there won't be any anxiety anymore. We spent almost half an hour underwater during which Kris took us to see several underwater points of interest, for example a big anchor from an old ship, some marine life, pieces of ancient pottery and so on. When we resurfaced everybody was in very high spirits, full of excitement and only had the best things to say about the experience. Thank you Kris and team for this unforgettable experience and I really hope to dive with you again sometime!

This was our first time ever doing this and it was great! I was a little bit scared before we started but in the end it was a great experience, our instructor was amazing,she told me to hold her hand if I am scared but in the end I didnt need to...

This was my first diving experience and we really liked it. Tough in beginning of December, the waster was not too cold and we had a short testing of our skills at the beginning to make sure we learned everything, and then a half hour or so dive. We were able to see several species of fish, unfortunately the turtles are only in the summer. The staff was really helpful, patient and nice. We hope to have the next experience soon!

Absolutely the most bang for your buck! Professional instructors teach you some basics for scuba diving. You spend ½ hour under water in a pool and ½ hour in open sea. Great experience!

Was a good experience and glad we did this. However we didnt expect it to be intense for example the scuba gear is very heavy. Also if u are unable to equalise your ears then u pretty much cant go any further in the experience.

Very good introduction, really enthusiastic and helpful. One of our members didn't want to scuba dive in the sea in the end but was able to snorkel, one felt more time in the pool would have been useful, but an overall positive experience. The sea didn't feel cold because they provided thick wetsuits even though it was march.
