Overview

Learn an ancient craft and make a beautiful keepsake on this blacksmith experience in rural Niagara. Slip on your safety googles and have a go at forging in the fire as you heat up a piece of metal and create something special with the help of an artist. Don’t leave without touring the on-site gallery of previous ironwork creations.

What's Included

All tools and materials required to craft your piece of ironwork are included in the class fees. (Each participant will craft their own piece of ironwork to take home)
Personal safety gear (safety gloves and glasses) are available to borrow from the studio

Free safety equipment can be borrowed for the duration of the class, brand new safety glasses, gloves, and earplugs can also be purchased from the studio

We visited with our three teenagers, and all five of us had a great time! Jen is a great instructor, a master at keeping the whole class engaged and progressing on their projects while also ensuring everyone's safety. She took the time to demonstrate each step of each of our projects as we went along, and then helped us to do the work ourselves. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours, well worth the cost, and we each got to bring home something we'd forged ourselves!
