We went to a little market just outside Nhs Trang without any tourist. Then we visited a typical Vietnamese house and a fabric of noodles. Finally, we cooked the food bought by Mr. Dat at the market in his beautiful house which has a large dedicated are for cooking in a peaceful garden.

It was a great experience to visit the markets to buy the fresh produce. There are so many different vegetables and fruits which I have discovered. Chef Dat explained some history of Vietnam and how the locals lived. He catered the menu to suit our preferences and OMG the flavours in the different dishes were delicious. Had a great time and recommend this to anyone who loves Vietnamese cuisine

Dat was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable of local history and culture. We were shown how coconuts were processed for different products, how rice noodles were made by local producers, the fresh produce at a local market and got a glimpse of how a local family lived and worked. Dat invited us into his beautiful home and showed us how to cook authentic Vietnamese spring rolls, bo la lot and chicken curry. It was fantastic.

Chef Dat truly loves teaching tourists about his culur and cooking traditions. . He is an excellent teacher.He has many years of experience in cooking and teaching cooking. He is kind and answered all of questions. He asked us all what we wanted to learn to make. This does not usually happen in a cooking class. He took us to the neat, fish, Vegetable and fruits market and showed us produce and different proteins that the Vietnamese use in their traditional dishes. I highly recommend learning from Chef Dat.

It was a nice experience visiting the market and the rice noodle fabric with an local.
He really explained everything well and knows a lot about the ingrediance of the dishes we made.
He changed the menu on request very spontaneously and the taste was very nice!
We had a wonderful experience with a kind chef.

We had a lovely day with Chef Dat. He greeted us at the port, there was some confusion over the start time, but he made every effort to make sure that everyone was able to join. We travelled to a market and then proceeded to his lovely outdoor cooking area where we made three lovely Vietnamese dishes. He ensured that everyone had a chance to participate and then we all had way more to eat than we could have imagined. It was one of our favorite experiences in Vietnam.

Real confusion over start time of tour - some told 830am whilst we were told 930am.
Too much time spent in village meaning cooking was rushed. Was disappointed that we did not cook our own- some people monopolised the bits we did get to do

I apologise for not giving you a smile as you expected. Your review gave me unsleeping nights to recall the cooking class tour on that day.
You were travelling by cruise ship and booked our shared class tour with other people on the same ship as well.
They were on the first tender docked at 8.30am while you were on the later tender docked at 9.30am.
Our cooking class tour includes a mini tour to the countryside of Nha Trang where you discover the reality of Vietnam to learn about how the local people do a living (mat weaver’s, noodle factory), visit a local family to experience the shelter where they live, local market where they shop ingredients every day and finally we cook the dishes as they eat daily.
This is not a cooking course where we train or teach someone to become a cook or chef, It is a cultural- experienced tour.
Since the starting time, I recognised that you were not happy after you had some chats with people from another group, I kept asking you if everything was ok, you said yes.
At the class, you were not happy to join with others.
We always try our best to give our guests a big smile after the class. We are so sorry, we didn’t give it to you.
If we have a chance to be with you again, we promise to give you a big smile.

What a fantastic tour! Chef Dat and his team took our family on a most memorable experience. We travelled to a village market, a noodle maker, and a local shop and listened to Chef's Dat share his knowledge of regional and national Vietnamese gastronomy and culture. We then visited his home and learnt how to cook three delicious dishes. We help prepare all aspects of the meal and learnt so much - techniques and tastes - and then enjoyed the feast. I would recommend to anyone who is travelling in the region to make this part of your journey. We will be back!

we had a great time on this tour. From the shopping at the market experience to coffee in a locals home and then onto Chef Dat’s cooking school. We made some great dishes and he was really great as 2 of us are vegetarians. You could do as much cooking as you wished or just watch and take photos. I learnt some good tips and the best part was eating it all! Highly recommend.

It was a very nice experience overall. It was a great to be able to go check out how some of the local products are made and to go to the local market to shop for the ingredients we needed for the recipes. I don't know if it was just our group or because we had a smaller group, but he allowed us to choose the 3 menu items for the cooking class. It was a much more thorough cooking class experience than I've had in the past.

We were blown away with this amazing experience! We loved that fact that chef Dat took us to source all off the fresh local produce in the markets etc. We were shown behind the scenes how Bahn Mi and Noodles were made in the bakery and factory. He explained all of the local produce and what it was used for and visited two local family business owners homes to see how they live. Then we went to his private kitchen for a lesson on how to cook traditional Vietnamese dishes that were absolutely devine. We were so pleased to have had a wonderful experience with an amazing guide and Chef. Thank you so much 😊
