The tricycles were very easy to drive. It was my first time ever to drive an electric bike or motorcycle or atv of any sort and I managed to do so pretty well. It is really fun to see the sites this way. KJ was an excellent tour guide. Extremely patient and personable. Food on tour was very good as well. Fun day!
Calling this a "tour" is a huge stretch. I have been on several Viator tours in many different cities and this one was by far the worst. The tour consisted of ebikes (our family) and segways (other folks). The paths they took us on were super rocky and not at all good for segways. All 5 people in my party (ranging in ages from 13-55) were all extremely glad we were not on the segways. We were also given ear pieces (no one tested to be sure they worked before we left? Why? No idea) so we could hear what the tour leader was saying. We had 2 people in our party whose were not working so we didn't get those until about 10 minutes into the "tour".
Two gentlemen had major spills while on their segways and the tour guides had no medical supplies with them. I gave the one man a somewhat used paper towel I had in my bag to wipe up the blood.
First (and arguably only stop) was at Fort Charlotte. We were walked around minimally with some photos. At one point the tour guide pressed a button (that any of us could push) and we stood there and listened to the description. There was very little information given.
Next we rode around on the side of a few busy streets and were driven to a spot near Junakroo Beach for "the best fried fish" which was mediocre at best. No free water, we were instead given a super sweet soda drink that honestly was gross. Just give me some water, it was 90 degrees out and blazing hot. We bought our own waters for $2 each. I recommend bringing your own.
From the fried fish place, we then basically rode our bikes around for a few minutes, most of it in a parking lot??? I kept thinking Candid Camera was going to pop out and tell me this was a very expensive joke. From there we rode some more to what I can only describe as an old/abandoned dirt/rock track? We drove aorund there for about 10 minutes "for fun" and then the tour was over.
Super disappointing. $360 spent and really a complete waste of time and money. I would never, ever recommend this tour. At one point one of the tour guides told my 13yo to get off of the bike with her brother and she could go on his bike - I did not fully understand what he was saying so I said "Wait, where is (my daughter) going?" and he told me to not worry about it - he had it under control. I told him in no uncertain terms that I will ask whatever questions I want about MY daughter. He later apologized saying "Oh you just don't understand how we mean things in Nassau" - no, sir - you were out of line.
Please book anything other than this!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback Ann.
We’re genuinely sorry that the Bahamas Eco Glide experience did not meet your expectations.
We do, however, want to clarify several points regarding what occurred during your tour.
Your reservation was originally made for four guests, and we were happy to accommodate an additional member of your family at no extra charge. Complimentary water was also provided, and at the restaurant guests were given a choice of the available beverages.
The tour completed the stops and experiences advertised as part of the excursion, including Fort Charlotte and the other riding portions of the route.
We understand that the style of the tour may not have been what you personally expected, and we respect that everyone can have a different opinion of an experience.
Safety is extremely important to us. Our guides do carry first-aid supplies. When a guest experiences a minor fall or scrape, assistance is offered; however, if that guest says they are okay and does not want treatment, our guides cannot force medical assistance upon them.
We will still use your feedback as an opportunity to reinforce with our team that first-aid assistance should always be clearly offered.
We also would like to clarify the account involving your 13-year-old daughter, At the beginning of the tour, you repeatedly asked whether your daughter could be given the opportunity to ride her own machine. The guide agreed to accommodate that request once the group reached Clifford Park, where there was a safer and more open area for her to ride.
When the group reached Clifford Park, the guide followed through with the arrangement you had requested. Your daughter was placed on her own machine and was allowed to ride around the park with her brothers. The guide was not taking her anywhere and was not riding with her. He continued walking the tour route while your children rode in the park.
However, we do not believe it was accurate to portray the situation as though a guide unexpectedly attempted to take your daughter somewhere without your knowledge or permission. The arrangement was made because you had specifically requested that she be allowed to ride her own machine, and the guide was simply honoring that request in the safer Clifford Park area.
We were also pleased to see that the other members of your family, including your children, appeared to enjoy themselves, and the other guests participating on the Segway also expressed that they had a wonderful experience.
We recognize that you personally did not enjoy the tour, and we are sorry that it did not meet your expectations.
We appreciate all feedback, both positive and negative, because it helps us improve. At the same time, we believe it is important that the circumstances of the tour are represented accurately and with the full context of what occurred.
Thank you again for joining Bahamas Eco Glide.
Excellent communication before arrival and day of arrival. Close to the port exit. Great service and fun time!
Pros:
- The trikes were fun to ride and navigate. Worked well for older family members.
- The tour guides were fun and did their best. They engaged with the guests and made it fun
Cons:
- We didn't really explore much compared to previous tours I've booked with Viator in other countries. Seemed like we were able to just ride around a lot and experience the trikes more than experience the island. We went to the fort, passed a popular restaurant, rode along the beach and waited for lunch at a restaurant that never opened, raced along a track
- We were supposed to have food included. The restaurant was closed. We wasted time waiting. There was no money refunded or anything acknowledged about not receiving this part of the experience.
- The headphones used to hear the guides were a good idea but not good quality. The audio was hit or miss, and the distance made it hard to hear. Which made it difficult to understand where to go - which is dangerous around other cars
- Normally, in my experience on Viator tours the hosts lets you know that pictures are being taken, asks for consent and email to send pictures. The guides began taking pics with their own camera but this conversation never occurred. Eventually, we just asked them to take pictures with our own cameras. I do not like people taking pictures without my consent, especially if they aren't emailing them to you as part of the tour
- I overheard the manager (I guess) apologize on behalf of the guides to some particular guests. This was off-putting apologizing to a set of guests and not others. And apologizing for people they hired to deliver a service you pay them for. It was weird.

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you so much for your feedback regarding our Tryke tour.
Happy to hear that they were fun to ride and that the guides were engaging .
We welcome all feedback to help us delivery the best guest exoeriance we can.
Thanks again and safe travels.
Arthur, our guide was fantastic. I did this tour with my 81yo father. The beginning of the tour is spent in the parking lot getting to know the trike. Also, very little of the tour is spent on public roads, so not to worry too much about traffic. The fort was interesting, and there are a couple places where you can go fast and just feel the wind in your face. The top speed is set at 25mph. Overall, I would recommend as the time with my dad riding around was priceless! He had a smile on his face the entire time!

Hi Matthew,
Great to hear that you both had a great time on the Trykes, they are fun!!
Your dad was having a blast, it showed. Glad we could be a part of your fun time in port.
Thanks again and hope to ride with you soon!
Great tour - the trikes were fun and allowed us to make several stops, Scott shared a lot of local knowledge about the history and culture of Nassau and the Bahamas, and the Bahamian lunch/snack was tasty. Starting time and length were also good for us to be able to have some free time in what was a fairly quick port stop.
Trikes are easy to operate. Loads of fun.
Great short shore excursion. The wife and I had a great time. The guide (SCOTT) was very informative. We had a ball!!

Thank you for your great review. The TRYKES are a blast!! We had a great time riding with your tour and stay see you on the next time around!!
A brilliant experience where we were warmly welcomed by Scott and introduced to our fun and knowledgeable instructor Arthur.
After a practice session on a flat area away from traffic we headed up to Fort Charlotte where we had time to explore and find out more about its history.
Then on to Fish Fry for lunch and drinks and a trip along the seafront with time to pose for photos.
Arthur was friendly and patient and super knowledgeable about Nassau and New Providence Island and the time flew by.
Would definitely recommend
Do this tour! The trikes took a minute to get used to because of the fast acceleration . But they can hold most Americans - young and older-weighing up to 300lbs. These are much easier to maneuver than the Segway or an ebike.
With our enthusiastic guide Arthur, We drove up to Fort Charlotte for an incredible view at every corner and then walked around the grounds and learned the hard history of the Bahamians. It is extremely well preserved and in tact, including the cannons, dungeons and the original well. I thought it was hands down a much better fort than the one we visited in San Juan.
We got back on the trikes and saw the shipping port, and then stopped at the Fish Fry at D Waters cafe for a nice bite of conch fritters and fish sticks. Our waitress Sharice was amazing and attentive. She even gave us a magnet for a souvenir.
We then drove up the cruise terminal beach for a short visit to the pier and the lighthouse.
It was only a 2 hour tour and they offered pick up and drop off at our hotel. You just have to ask them to do it.
Overall, it was a great experience and I enjoyed the ride. I highly recommend this tour and the company. They take pride in their work.
