We took the private tour from Delhi to Agra and back on the high speed train to visit the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. We were taken care of at all times, from pick up at the hotel and return back at the hotel and at all times accompanied by someone to guide us along, even all the way inside the train. Best of all, we were fortunate to have Mehfooz Ahmed (Jelly) as our guide. Jelly knows Agra, Jelly knows Agra really well. I had to stop to go to the bathroom before we reached the Taj Mahal and Jelly knew just where to take us. He is extremely knowledgeable in the history of Agra, both the secular history and the religious history and answered all our questions with tons of information and insight. The Taj Mahal, and the grounds, were more beautiful than what we expected and the Agra Fort just blew us away. While my stomach wasn't in the best of shapes, we did go to a buffet for lunch at the Hilton. I just had fruit but the food did look so good. One thing about the tour which I loved---Mehfooz gave us plenty of time to roam the Taj Mahal grounds and the Agra Fort. We were never rushed and could have spent more time at either place had we wanted to. A private tour is the way to go and I highly recommend Mehfooz. Also, while I don't remember our driver's name, he was exceptional and took us to the train station in Agra, all the way to our seats! An exceptional, highly recommended tour!!!

I had an amazing experience with Mehfooz (Jelly) as our tour guide in Agra. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the city and explained everything in a very clear and interesting way. Visiting the Taj Mahal with him was truly special because he shared many fascinating stories and details that we would never have known on our own.

I recently traveled solo to Agra, and as an older traveler, I was a little concerned about managing everything on my own. Choosing Mehfooz (Jelly) as my tour guide was the best decision I could have made.
From the very beginning, he was kind, patient, and extremely respectful. He made me feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the tour. He adjusted the pace to suit me, ensured I had enough time to rest when needed, and never made me feel rushed. That meant a lot.

First, I would like to say that our guide and driver were extremely organized and communicated with us thoroughly timely sent us pictures of what they would look like I would give them a five star rating.
Arun Kumar was our driver in Agra and Anshu. Singh was our guide.
There was a bit of confusion with our lunch as well. Our lunch was included in the price and ticket that we had but were told that we had to pay for our lunch. I had to pull out our ticket. Luckily I had Wi-Fi. Our guide had to call the Tour company and reconfirm. Seems like there was some confusion with these things
My other concern or what people should be aware of is that your tour will be done possibly two hours prior to your train time. I think they do this as it’s hard to tell how many tourist and wait times may be at the Taj and Fort
We were taken to a coffee shop and stayed there for approximately two hours to kill some time other tourists that were on the same train. We also dropped at the same coffee shop so we ended up having a good time. Otherwise it would be extremely boring.
My concern and issue is with the Tour company as we were coming back prior to getting on the train literally five minutes. I was told that my daughter was placed on a waiting list for the train. Mind you it was just her and I traveling. they keep telling me that this is OK. It happens all the time. I don’t think that was the case. They put us onto the train and then was told that they’re gonna find us a seat. I also saw some exchange of money between our guide and the conductor. The conductor tried to help as much as he could. I was left standing for about 30 minutes of the train ride then they asked if I would go into a different compartment and separate from my daughter who is only 15 years old I said no and remain standing. mind you this was a tour that was booked three months ago. So it seems like the Tour company might have forgotten to purchase one of the tickets. As I spoke to more people on the train some told me they just booked the ticket four days ago. Luckily a gentleman stood up for us and spoke with a conductor how this was not the fault but the Tour company’s fault and they should be attempting to assist us. A kind gentleman that was sitting next to my daughter exchange states with another gentleman in the first class cabin and then I was able to sit down with my daughter. This was ridiculous. I did not hear any thing from the Tour company. I I only heard back from the driver and the tour guide making sure that we were OK. For this, I would give the tour company of one star. Please check and reconfirm that you have your round-trip tickets and that your seats are confirmed. They carry all of the tickets so we don’t have access to them. Moving forward I will always make sure that I have the train tickets. Make sure that the train seats are confirmed and that no one is placed on a waiting list.

OMG the train to the Agra alone is completely worth this experience! Definitely the best way to travel. All connections went smoothly, Raju our guide was knowledgeable and accomodating of our slower pace, the hotel lunch was lovely (Marriott, be prepared to buy your water as not included, or take with you from the car), however we had to choose between Agra Fort and 'Baby Taj' which isn't clear on the itinerary on Viator, and the 5 free photos was a complicated process so we went with the 42 which were taken (IRA2000). This though is just a heads up, we thoroughly enjoyed our day. We were an hour early for the return train after completing Taj/ Agra Fort/ so do ask to include something else if you find yourself in the same position. Also FYI if you are after a small Taj Mahal keepsake they are available from platform 1 at the train station at a very reasonable price, so you don't have to succumb to be trawled around the usual tourist shopping traps in order to find one! Or buy from touts.

Terrible communication - vacation ruining mistakes made. We booked the first class train option FOUR months in advance. Company confirmed about a week ahead of the activity that we were good to go via WhatsApp. The afternoon before the scheduled activity (Thursday) the operator let us know that, in fact, the Taj is closed on Fridays. Maybe I'm the idiot who didn't do research, but why was this not told to me when we booked or at the time of confirmation even the week before? Why can I book this on Fridays at all?
We then said we would go and just look from afar, but we were then told we were NOT even confirmed on a train reservation and we would be accommodated with a van from Delhi to Agra. Just so we are clear - that drive is 3.5 hours each way with NO traffic (hotel concierge said it would probably be 4-5 hours with traffic).
So, now we have two major problems. The tour was not going to be what was booked and confirmed AND we do not have the transport we paid for. Great. Two GIANT missteps in my opinion for a tour operator.
Two of our group had to drop out if we went a day later but they could not confirm if we would indeed have train transportation on that day. This small bit is not their fault, but would have been possible to fix if they contacted us further in advance of the Friday closure issue.
So I'm left with two things I'm still scratching my head about. Why can I book on Friday and not hear about the Taj being closed until about 14 hours before my departure? Why was my tour confirmed a week ahead of time? Why were my train tickets never even booked?
As a result of this company's terrible organization skills, they made 24 hours of my vacation a living hell, trying to salvage seeing the Taj for all of our group (minus the two leaving a day earlier). Don't trust these people. They have a lot to learn about communication.

Anshu and the driver were fantastic. They had water for us at every stop. Anshu had great knowledge of the Taj Mahal and Red Fort. Our lunch was delicious! Having a guide get you on and off the right train was essential!
