Itinerary

Start early with 6.30am pickup from your hotel in Delhi or the airport, then travel in an air-conditioned private vehicle for around three hours to the town of Agra.

Upon arrival in Agra, your guide takes you to the Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was built for the 17th-century Mughal Emperor to watch the sunrise. Continue to the UNESCO-listed Agra Fort for a guided tour. Afterward, check out Agra handicrafts in local shops that carry goods including marble and stone inlay, leather, carpets, and jewelry.

After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, head to Mathura, one of Hinduism's seven sacred cities, and learn about the Lord Krishna. Visit Shri Krishna Janambhoomi temple and experience a live kirtan performance.

Then head to Vrindavan and visit Prem Mandir, a large spiritual complex located on a 54-acre estate on the outskirts of Vrindavan. See the temple, which contains 80 panels depicting Krishna's life, then follow a wide path that takes you on a a 40-foot (12-meter) circumambulation route.

Enjoy an evening visit to Shri Bankey Bihari Temple, the most famous Krishna temple, before returning to Delhi, where your tour ends with hotel drop-off.

Really nice being so close to Krishna birthplace.

Driver was a very nice and did his best all the time, but his English could be a little better. The guide was excellent, good English, but for some reason, and unfortunately, hurried us up in Mathura at the most significant place of all, the Krishna Birthplace. We didn’t understand very well why but other then that it was all fine.

This tour was DEFINITELY WORTH IT...

This tour was DEFINITELY WORTH IT. Driver Sanju and tour guide Manoj were on point, accommodative, and genuinely great people. They made sure that the experience was an amazing one every step of the way. Manoj was an incredible scholar of Hinduism and the history of India. He is so passionate about his work, he even scolded the Taj Mahal guards for being lazy on the job. Sanju drove fast but safely and saved time on a very long journey, stopping only to surprise me with a cup of tea. After seeing the sites, I was looking for some antiques. Manoj did his best to call around and find places, but if you're looking something unique to buy, do yourself a favor and Google ahead of time...and don't let anyone dissuade you from going to your intended destination. I'm from New York City so maybe it's easier for me to buy Indian goods, but I've found that everyone tries to push you toward stores where you can buy common goods that can easily be purchased on the internet. This has literally been the only disappointing part of an absolutely incredible experience in this country. Thanks again to Manoj and Sanju. You made my trip to India a memorable one.
