Eleven was an excellent, informative guide for our group of three active adults. She deserves the four stars. Dealing with the tour organiser wasn't as easy. We booked this tour because it was private and in its own words "you can do what you want". Wasn't the case. We only wanted to see elements of Purple Mountain and not traipse to many different parts of Nanjing as we did that very easily on our own without a guide. We were discouraged from doing things we wanted to do and encouraged to stick to their plan. With that in mind our group of three walk fast and learn fast - our six hour tour was over in less than four. Definitely not the guides fault. If you want to dawdle and see the standard sites this tour may suit you.

Dear Guests, Thank you for the review! Sorry our tour is flexible and customizable but indeed we focus mainly on the standard sites , we tried to accomodate your requests to visit some" unsual places " but due to your time constrain ( you only arrive noon midday ) and most sits close by 17.00. We did not mean to discourage you anything just be very transparent while planing your intinerary pre-ahead and share with your the timing and possible routes coud be done. But you said you could walk fast to catch up so your guide did accomodate the pace with you. The tour run bit shorter because you told the guide you were tired in the end need to return ealier with all the major sites already been covered. Hope you will return to see more beautiful Nanjing in the future. Cheers! Lily

Enjoyable Nanjing tour

I had a oneday Nanjing tour with my son. The guide was experienced and knowledgeable. And also,friendly and eager to help us. Nanjing has many impressive historical sites. We really enjoyed touring Nanjing, and it would be impossible to see these sites in such an effective way,without the help of our guide and driver. I really thank them, and recommend this tour.

John took us around to see all of the highlights of Nanjing. He made sure we got everywhere on time and also got ahead of the crowds and lines. His English was great and he explained a lot about the history of Nanjing. Highly recommend him for your trip to Nanjing!!!

I had also taken an earlier trip using Sunny in Suzhou and the whole setup was efficient as expected. Communication with Sunny was a breeze and all the logistic setups were seamless. I would highly recommend! My guide for Nanjing was Denise, and she was terrific. She had lots of interesting little tidbits of knowledge on Nanjing and the various dynasties that she wasn’t afraid to share. Hence it wasn’t a very cookie-cutter, but personalized tour and getting to know the local view points. My favorite one that had us in stitches was the bit about the Ming Empreor that was more interested in becoming a carpenter / wood-worker than being an empreror. She also brought me to a very local place to have some Nanjing speciality duck noodles which was extremely tasty. It was a great time with her and getting to know from a real local lens on such a historical city such as Nanjing.

Amazing day in Nanjing with Mr. Wang (Fred)

We had a wonderful time with Mr. Wang (Fred). He picked my son and me up at the train station and spent nine hours with us, showing around Nanjing and all the sites listed and more. He is extremely knowledgeable about history, architecture, travel, among many other topics and speaks perfect English. He went out of his way to accommodate us and everything we wanted to see. It was pouring all day but it seemed like a perfect sunny day for us. We highly recommend this tour and Mr. Wang (Fred) who also gives tours in Shanghai and other places. We now want to come visit Nanjing again and spend more time here because of the wonderful experience he provided for us.
