It was fast paced, but allowed us to see a lot. Saw several shrines, temples, Osaka Castle, and shopping/local areas. The Guide, Yama, explained everything we encountered and experienced very thoroughly. He spoke very good English and added a bit of humor that made it educational and fun!

My husband and I very much enjoyed this tour with Haru our tour guide. He met us on time at our hotel and guided us to the four sites that we had pre-arranged with him to see. His knowledge of Japanese history and culture is excellent and he came prepared with additional visual guides to show us as he carefully explained the significance of each site. My husband and I would highly recommend this tour and Haru.

This is a very informative tour of some of Osaka’s cultural attractions. We were able to also mix in some local markets as well. Shogo was a wealth of knowledge and great guide.

Even before we began our tour we knew it would be an amazing tour.
Our tour guide was in contact with us shortly after our booking to prepare an itinerary designed to our taste. Sachiko our tour guide was waiting for us as we disembarked our ship. She was very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and the culture and history of Japan. She is an excellent photographer and knows all the best photo sites. We stopped for lunch and she chose a restaraunt that was perfect for us. Some of the best teriyaki we tasted in Japan.
Our itinerary was varied with tall buildings with breathtaking vistas and architecture to temples and last but not least Dontonbori.
Dontonbori is very crowded and can be intimidating but Sachiko seamlessly walked amongst the crowds pointing out the amazing sites and took some fabulous photos. We would have never attempted this on our own. It is obvious Sachiko has a strong love for her country and that she loves sharing her knowledge.
She went above and beyond to make sure we had a special memorable day. Thank you Sachiko. R & R

The tour was an action packed six hour walking tour of Osaka. We traveled by foot and subway with our very kind and knowledgeable guide Miyuki, or Yuki. She packed a lot into our trip and we had an invigorating walk. She was very knowledgeable and well prepared.

This tour was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide Yoshii is eminently knowledgeable about Japan, its history, and the significance of each site on the tour. He met us at our hotel as advertised, provided an overview of Japan and our plan for the day. It was great fun to walk around to see many Osaka’s sites, and he led us to the trains we needed to reach Osaka Castle and Umeda Sky Building. We stopped for lunch where he provided menu suggestions. He took many photos of our time on the tour. He provided a much need tutorial of the Osaka train system. Yoshii is a great teacher, and he has very impressive credentials.

We had a wonderful stress free day with Sachiko. In advance of our tour, she worked with us to create the itinerary, but also appreciated that she added stops like Hozinji Temple. Our tour included Doguyasuji kitchenware street, Koromon Market (where we snacked on awesome tuna sushi rolls, gyoza and tempura oysters), Tenjinbashi (the best mochi!) Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi.
In addition to the tour, Sachiko made dinner reservations at an Osaka style restaurant, pre-ordered for us and did a practice run with us so we would know how to get there!
We (party of 4) all agreed that our day with Sachiko was a highlight of our 2-week trip to Japan. We highly recommend Sachiko.

A Fantastic experience start to finish! Our guide Yama-San was excellent! We covered so much territory you would think we could miss something but Yama-San was always one step ahead and anticipated our questions and gave us great insight into the culture. His English was excellent , so good that we could joke back and forth and actually get the jokes!
His descriptions of the processes at the Sumi Yoshi temple were very detailed and allowed us to participate without being disrespectful. As luck would have it we came upon a traditional Shinto Wedding party taking pictures, which was stunning!
After the temple off to the hustle and bustle of the Namba, Kuromon, and Dootomboori districts. Using our preferences Yama-san pointed out and took us to all the sites we were interested in.
Took us into a little noodle shop for the best Udon ever, pointed out the authentic Takoyaki stands and guided us through the various food choices, and how to spot true Kobe Beef!. Such a good day for a foodi!
Yama-San also helped demystify the train system which allowed us to extend our travels a bit as we could make it back to the ship on our own!
We were on the tail end of a 29 day Asia cruise, and this by far was the best tour of the 15 or so tours we did. Could not recommend more!

Osaka Castle from the outside. This was a private tour for myself and son. Our guide, Yama-san spoke English very well and was informative and friendly. The problem was he walked very fast, which he had mentioned at the start was something other tourists had mentioned to him. Apparently he had not learned from previous comments. He would walk at his rapid pace and then wait for me to catch up. In the meantime he had conversations with my son that I was unable to hear. It seems to me the guide should adjust to the tourists, not the other way around. Thus the three star rating vs. 5.

Had a great time in Osaka with Yuki, she really helped us squeeze as much time from our day in Osaka as possible. We think visiting with someone who knows exactly what to see, where to go, how to avoid (as much as possible) big crowds, really makes a difference if you don't have too much time to visit so many cities in a small number of days. Highly recommended.

We had a great experience with Saiori, who gave us a great tour, lots of interesting information and was accommodating to our pace and Interests. The kids (11,16 and 19) got a bit tired towards the end, but enjoyed every bit of it.

Rie was a perfect guide for our Osaka day. She coordinated our meeting point and showed us the ropes of using the trains, busses, and subways to get around. She ensured that we saw the main sites as well as some local "non touristy" spots. She recommended a great spot for lunch where we experienced more of the traditional Japanese culture. The restaurant served kushikatsu which is a famous Osaka disk.

Sachiko was a fantastic tour guide and really did a great job organizing our tour of Osaka. She helped us with public transportation, explained the sites, customized the tour based on our requests, and went above and beyond by helping us get from the hotel to the Shin Osaka Station to catch our train back to Tokyo.
