Itinerary
Make your own way to Pythian Castle, located in the historic center of Springfield, and head inside via an entrance guarded by stone gargoyles. Greet your guide in the lobby and then take a seat to listen to the castle’s dark history, peppered with ghostly tales. See prior photo evidence of spirits.
Head first to the ballroom, a grand area said to be haunted by numerous spirits. While listening to spine-chilling stories, you’ll proceed down to the basement to explore the dimly lit tunnels, cells and the dungeon.
EVP sessions will take place. Prior EVPs that have been captured will be shared as well.
Your tour concludes back in the lobby, where you’ll bid your guide, and the ghosts, farewell.

Our tour guide, TIFF was extremely entertaining! I am absolutely a sceptic (my wife and daughter are not) but the history of the place was very informative.

I was very disappointed. When I made the reservations I assumed that it would be a spooky & creepy experience, which it was not. The stories that were told on the tour seemed made up & unbelievable. The other person with me felt the same way as did others on the tour. The history of the castle was semi-interesting. I guess if you are afraid of the dark, you may be uncomfortable, but otherwise for me it was a total bust.
I can admit that the lady that lead the tour was creepy.

The worst tour we've ever been on! Too many in a group!
Videos were just dumb, showing a couple of orbs lol.
Theater room with audio that was thrown together smh.
No interaction on anything.
No machines to see or hear ghost.
Our guide was like listening to wamp wamp wamp!!!

If you are interested in paranormal activity, this is for you. The place has an unusual history and an unusual location. The teenagers among us loved it. I admittedly freaked myself out a bit. But it was a fun way to spend the evening!

This could be a very cool experience, my daughter and I went on a saturday night. It was very busy and over booked in my opinion. There were about 60 people, they did split us up. If this place is haunted, no one would know with the amount of people on tour. All in all a cool place for 20$ id like to do it again when alot less busy. Less talky more epxploring and listening!

So silly. The power of suggestion was very heavy. The guide made sure we knew she was half scared I guess to scare the guests. Everything was staged. Dark rooms with flickering lights. A fake skull. Very silly. Sadly some of the guests actually bought into such silliness and at least acted like they were scared. I was a skeptic when I went in and convinced going out of the idiocy of such nonsense.

The castle lit up from outside, impressive also the view from the 2nd story...awesome!!! Strange that the children were separated by sex and that the military disposed of so much furniture instead of giving the Pythians the opportunity to store it.

The castle itself was pretty cool our guide was awful. Between her playing with her hair and pulling her shirt down every 30 seconds and using the "and ummm words everywhere sentence. I would recommend if you go to try another guide if possible.

The tour guide was full of information and very excited, however the group was just way too big. It had over 20 people in one group, where when we started it looked like it was going to be 3 smaller groups and then it changed. I think it would have been a better experience if the group size was smaller.
