After departing from the Adelaide CBD or McLaren Vale, ride on a comfortable bus to your choice of more than 15 winery stops. Ms Cherie was helpful in attending to my queries pre tour. Mr Lawry (our guide) was very personable and provided very helpful information. It was a party of four guests on tour today. He clarified that the bus will not be stopping at every vineyard on the list to make a loop, but schedule the pickup depending on where the guests wanted to go.
We took it slow and easy and focused on lunch with wine.
Started at Alpha Box & Dice (30 min) for a non alcoholic tasting and walked across to Maxwell (30 min) for mead tasting (interesting honey based alcoholic tasting - more suitable for after meal drinks), and then nearby Angrove (1.5hrs) for a very really delicious lunch and setting and rounded off with a fun visit at Derenberg cube (1.5 hr). All four places within the same area.
We thoroughly enjoyed lunch at the beautiful Angrove - the three course Prix Fixe lunch available on Thurs/Fri came with a Foundation Tasting (3 lovely wines) in lieu of a glass of wine as a Trailhopper special (book directly with Angrove). Food was excellent. Angrove was the highlight.

HOHO is an efficient and cost-effective transportation service if you know exactly which wineries/Cellar doors you want to visit. However you do need to do a little planning of your own.
Our driver Brett took good care of us. He is cheerful and very knowledgeable which made our day go very smoothly. Kudos to Brett.

Fantastic day out on the McLaren Vale hop-on hop-off wine tour. Everything ran seamlessly, with perfect timing at every stop, which made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable.
A special mention to Laurie, our driver, whose knowledge of the region, wineries, and local insights really elevated the tour. He kept everything running like clockwork while also being friendly and engaging throughout.
Highly recommend, a brilliant way to explore the region without any stress.

Best to do less wineries and enjoy them! The Cube is always a winner. This is the second time we’ve done this tour as a group with different places each time.

This is a fabulous way to visit wineries. One hour at each winery is enough time for tasting and browsing. I love that the bus runs to schedule and the driver was informative and entertaining.

Outstanding tour. Pick up in the CBD was easy to access. It only took 45 min to get to McLaren Vale Tourist information centre. From there we were driven to the wineries of our choice. The day was extremely well timed with an approximately an hour at each of the stops. Pick up was always on time and the driver ever so helpful. We had a great day. Btw Chapel Hill winery was absolutely glorious!

Fantastic day out exploring the various vineyards and tastings. Also I tasted the best goats cheese at Molly Dookers. The host Nathan was awesome. He was full of useful information and very accommodating. I learnt a lot more about wine and some of the history of Adelaide. I would definitely go again and recommend it to anyone as it gives them flexibility.

Great way to see wineries of your choosing in McLaren Vale. Bronnie was a fantastic guide - very friendly, professional, and flexible to an unexpected change of plans. She's obviously very knowledgeable of the area and was happy to give recommendations for wineries, as well as places to see and where to eat and drink in Adelaide. Great option since McLaren Vale isn’t that far out. Gave us the option to both enjoy some delicious wines. Highlights were Pannell and Coriole.

Great tour guide (Bronnie) and nice stop offs. Hassle free. Highly recommend just make sure you book your tastings during busy times of the year. We had no issues but it’s winter.

I went solo and it was a bit nerve racking but I really loved it, I am not a wine drinker by any means and everyone was happy to talk to me and no one made me feel stupid. I really enjoyed it and Nate dog, other passengers and the vine yard personel made me feel very comfortable and welcome.

We had a lovely time the weather was perfect there were a lot of wineries to choose from so I would recommend doing some research before the tour. We loved Angove Winery but Red Pool should never have been a choice we wasted an hour.
