Ahmed was an absolute blast and made my very first tour in Bahrain such a memorable experience. From the moment we met him, he was easy to communicate with, incredibly personable, friendly, and genuinely funny. The kind of guide who instantly makes you feel comfortable and excited to explore.
He was the perfect welcome to Bahrain, setting the tone for a fun night filled with laughs, great conversation and nonstop good energy. We truly had the best night with him!
And the food? Excellent. Every stop was thoughtfully chosen, delicious, and felt like a true taste of Bahrain rather than a touristy checklist. Ahmed’s passion for the food and culture really shined through and made the entire experience even better. How enthusiastically other locals greeted him on the street was evident on what a great person he is.

We recommend the food tour with a local guide, Yusf. He took us into all sorts of hole-in- the-wall cafes, sweet shops and restaurants in the souk, the oldest market in Bahrain, to which we would not have dared to venture on our own, for fear of dire gastric consequences! We thought we were already familiar with the area, having spent some time surveying the merchandise in the gold shops, but we toured the market in more depth with Yusf, who took us through the winding streets of the spice market as well. We sampled a variety of culinary delights, surrounded by locals playing dominoes and chatting, while he gave us insights into the Bahraini culture.

Ahmed made our first food trip very memorable with tastings of tea (Karak, Persian and Lemon) Bahraini halwa, Indian chaat and a Bahraini meal that cannot be missed. Sharing life stories, love for food made the quaint yet unique vibe of the Manama souk very enjoyable.. Must do tour with the affable, food loving Ahmed! Highly recommended

This tour with Sharifa was an absolute delicious delight. Not only did we taste universally excellent local food, but Sharifa also taught me an extraordinary amount about day to day life and culture in Bahrain. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to eat and learn in Bahrain.

Yusuf is super cool and his tour is the best. I'm a solo female traveller and felt fine. He's easygoing, chatty and knowledgeable. recommend him. The food was awesome too. 👌 If you're thinking about booking a food tour don't think - just do it.

This is a very late review, but we had a fantastic tour with Abbas. We were the only 3 people on this particular tour, but Abbas could not have been more helpful. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, took lots of photos of us among the food stores and even turned these into a little photo album which he sent to us along with details of all the food we tried. Abbas is an amazing tour guide- he even took time out of his day to provide a lift back to the cruise port. Outstanding service!

The food tour was amazing and the portions were just enough until you reach the next spot. Yusuf was a gem and very knowledgeable on the history of Bahrain and every vendor out there. I really enjoyed his company and his conversation was very inspiring and refreshing. We chatted about any and everything in our few hours on tour. I learned quite a bit. Everyone should book this tour.

Loved an insight into Bahraini food & walking around the souk. Had I not done this tour I would not have known about or tasted any of the local delicacies. The guide, Maram was the best. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It felt like spending a morning with a local friend. Highly recommend!

We joined Yusuf for a food tour during our visit for the Bahrain F1 and had such a wonderful time. We stopped at so many places, tried delicious food, learnt so much about Bahrain. It was the best tour we did while in this lovely little country and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting. We went back to the Souk the following day and revisited one of the restaurants much to the delight of the owner who remembered us. This good tour experience was incredible. From the moment I met Yousf he made me feel very welcome.
The tour is very well organised. You get to learn about the history, the culture and of course the FOOD. We got to try so many incredible foods, one tastier than the other.
The trip was a perfect length of time as each stop had its only unique charm.
Yousf was so incredibly informative and I’m so thankful he showed me around his homeland. I would recommend this tour to anyone. What better way to see a place, than to ‘ do what the locals do’. Yousf provided that service!

Having traveled around the world, and more than 100 global cities, I know the difference between a decent food tour and an excellent one. This tour is without a doubt the ladder. Led by an intelligent, world, traveler, guide himself, the tour is a sincere and well thought out overview of foods from this region of the world, along with history and culture. Could not imagine a better version of this tour.
