Expectation very different to reality. Huge amounts of pollution in water. Sandbank was a private island, with warning signs stating trespasses would be prosecuted. Beach front covered in litter.
Tour started 40 minutes late. Boat was too small for group and limited room for getting in and out of boat. Poor value for money.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not fully meet your expectations.
Regarding the sandbank, the one in North Malé is often not visible due to the tide. Our intention was to give you a unique experience by visiting an uninhabited island with a natural sandbank, which we believe offers more value than a sandbank barely visible in the water. Please rest assured that we always obtain permission before entering such islands, as we are mindful of trespassing regulations.
On the matter of litter, unfortunately, marine pollution is a challenge across the Maldives. We do our part during every excursion by collecting and properly disposing of plastic waste, which is then managed by WAMCO and Parley for recycling abroad.
As for the boat, its licensed capacity is 12 passengers, with seating comfortably arranged for 8, excluding the captain and crew. We understand that boarding and disembarking can feel limited at times, but safety and comfort are always our priority.
Concerning the delay, our guide was present before 09:00 at the clearly communicated meeting point and waited for guests to arrive. The time that passed was added to the overall duration of the tour, ensuring that your time spent on the islands and in the water was not reduced.
We value your comments and will continue working to improve punctuality and guest satisfaction. Thank you again for sharing your perspective.
